Great tutorial. Big supporter of your work. Few things I noted that might help you out with Element 3D that you mentioned in the video: The "Draft textures" box you unclicked in the Element window only shows the textures in high quality within that Element window. If you want higher quality textures on your render you can go to "Output" .. "Sampling and Aliasing" and unclick "Compress Textures". Another great tip and shortcut for you to avoid the whole copy and pasting of the 3D model position is to go to "Group 1" .. "Group Utilities" and hit "Create Group Null". You can then hold shift and parent that null to your tracking solid and make all the adjustments very quickly from that null. And you can repeat that process for however many groups you have within Element.
To make scale not screw with your track, make sure anchor point is placed correctly, in this case, the anchor point should be on the bottom of the shoe, you can change that in E3D window. Also, creating a group null, then Shift+parent will snap an E3D object to a tracked plain or location. Just some quick ease of life tricks. Love your creativity!
Tip at 9:52 rather than copying the position values of the solid, click on "Create Group Null" and that will make a null for your 3D object, then parent that null to your solid and zero out all the position values on your null. If you want to move your object around use the anchor point to do so, it's a lot more helpful! GREAT STUFF THOUGH KEEP IT UP!
To latch the 3D model to your solid, looking at your attributes on the 3D model, scroll down where it says create null and press it. Then copy your blue solid’s position to the position of the new null.
Dope tutorial as always and btw you can copy the the tracked solid positions and then go to - Group 1 - group utilities - create group null and thn you can paste and control your 3d object from that null layer :)
I was planing on geting into AE for a while now haha, this might do the trick, dude please make some photoshop or premier tutorials, i love your work ✌
Nice video Jas, love your work!! I also started with element 3d a few months ago, and its really awesome! P.S: if you uncheck the draft textures box (in element 3D), you may see textures in a higher quality. Its normal not to notice at first, but if you look the obj closer, you can see the change clearly. When you open the plugin, its automatically checked to have a better workflow
Dude, this was excellent! I've been looking for a no bullshit tutorial on 3D tracking and was so happy to see you delivered exactly that, very helpful.
Bruh .. Sick skills & tricks, started video editing thanks to you, big inspiration Hope you'll continue to evolve into this weird stuff until when you'll be granddad
Love your work and style Jas. Would love more of these tutorial as a beginner to after effects. Would love a tutorial on your Things LineUP video if thats possible. Thanks
Really cool tutorial! Was the microwave part done in Element 3D as well? It would be cool to see a follow up on that part! Also, please show us how you finish the piece in Premiere, great to see different workflows as we refine our own. Thanks! Gonna check out more of your videos for sure!
Jas, thank's for your tutorial, he helped me. I see that I am already the 10th person who asks about the butterfly effect at 49 seconds. Say me please, this is a plugin? Or can this be achieved with the Ae tools?
Good video, give ms something to play with. You can also do a null instead of a solid as youre just going to hide the solid anyway, the null will automatically not show up
I grade in premiere using Lumetri! I suppose you could also just do it in After Effects but I really like just working in Premiere for my final exports :-)
hope you could do more of this tutorials! you're one of my inspirations!!
