@Dr Judgement Yeah but the random something never gave me much initiative to pop balloons. The only reason I actually went after balloons was only for the Golden Slingshot but I stopped after I got it. I definitely think balloon exclusive furniture will be a fun way to get people to want to go after it, or maybe even another use for the slingshot.
@Dr Judgement I like the idea of having the different balloons. I believe the spaceship was not in NL so maybe they can add that back in as well with maybe a new furniture set.

About the first one: I think when you first start the game, you should do the whole “ABC” stuff, but maybe rover or kapp'n or whoever can give us a mirror at the end of the ride and we could use that to change our look or if we buy a vanity then we could use that?
Or they could make it so that we meet a blind animal in the train and they ask us to describe how we look like, and then they take us to the menu to pick our appearance. I really like the idea of the mirror though, that's just the idea I had come up with

Instead of Gyroid storage, how about a Gyroid section in the meuseum? You could even still interact with them when they're on display so the exibits could have a custom beat made by you! Also I think Carts from Mario Kart should be featured, because Kapp'n had a Taxi in Wild World and a frickin' BUS in Let's Go to The City, so it's not like automobiles don't exist in the Animal Crossing Universe. Also I want a way to choose villagers in my town, just so I can have my old favorites back. Because in my town I made just this year, I got Rosie AND Kid Kat moved in, who was my favorite in my old town. It was such good luck and now I'll have to abandon them for the new title.
I would love it if animal crossing would have a bigger map, or maybe being able to buy more land? Oh, or even being able to build on water, like mini islands for villagers to live in or just enjoy being there. It would also be nice to be able to make your own animal as a new character to play as. Once you become best friends with that type of animal. And becoming friends with more of that kind of animal (or personality side) would add more color, patterns, or accessory options. It would also be cool to be able to host events that villagers recommend.

These ideas are great! If we don't get to be mayor again, something like a city planner or town developer would be the next best thing. Fully customizing the map from the ground up, including the placement of houses and paths as a built in feature would be cool.

I know this comment is oldish, but with how the switch has the option for different accounts on the system itself, you definitely could have multiple towns!! And have it easily sorted, because you could name those system accounts the name of the town that account is tied to!
Coco was my favorite villager in new leaf she was there since day 1 and left me after 3 years😢 She was really nice, wrote me letters everyday, would come over, would want to talk. And I got “the picture frame”. I just really wish I still had her now 2 years since she left 😢
I’m actually shocked to see that we both have identical wants for animal crossing. Tho there’s still a few more things that should be added in. 1: Have all new elements from new leaf to pocket camp added in. Happy homes gave us new interact able furniture like Curtains & doorways or tambouring To jukeboxes. From pocket camps honey/fish net system (that could make finding rare fish/insects a lot more easier *cough* the tarantula *cough*) even porting over amiibo festivals mini games like in the welcome amiibo update can be a good idea, heck why not turn tortimir islands online games to amiibo festival ones. (Better than what we already had) 2: town attraction, you know the new feature to make your own exhibit in the museum in new leaf? Why not have the same with your town; if they can add a camp ground for RVs, they can do the same for you. Being able to place furniture and flooring would make villages for different and unique. It could work just like pocket camper. 3:more things to do online with friends, outside of trade and maybe the island games...what else is there? At least adding in the amiibo festival games could spice things up Oh maybe a in game quiz show. 😱 4: more Nintendo themed villagers, the Zelda & splatoon ones where amazing in the welcome amiibo update, but what if they add in Bowser or PAC-man? It would be great plus if they can’t make 3rd party villagers just do what they did for the villager amiibo( just an empty RV full of there stuff to order) 5:more events and past hoildays/gimmicks, anyone remember the dump in the 1st animal crossing or Spirts Day? With town projects being s thing why not make the dump an option? Also there needs to be more events than just bugs and fishing. Why not mining or a collectithon of fruit or competitive Simon says idk just more events would be nice. 6: a public park (than can be accessed offline) the street pass plaza was an interesting concept in new leaf but pretty boring, what if they made a park that you can pop in and meet actual moving chating player that aren’t just standing around. The park could hold up to 10/20 players and you can trade or invite them to your town oooor just play on the slide & swings become you can 🙃 7: YOU CHOOSE WHERE THE VILLAGER MOVES ON TO!! Show of hands, how many times have you made a decorative village full of gold flowers & custome walkways and BAM some villager thot it way a good idea to plant their home on your winning rose garden. Please have it to where you can talk to the secretary or whoever to choose where they want to move to so we can prevent this choas. 8:3 new villager animals (that aren’t shop/event based) seeing your normal cats and bunnies are cute an all but more animal types would be nice, maybe throw it bat villagers or maybe a crab one (similar body shape to frogs) any new animal would most likely be welcomed 9: new village environments, This was probably overlooked in happy homes but having the ability to change the environment of your town from highland mountains to dessert oasis at the beginning of the game when your choosing your map and character design; this would make your town and other peoples towns be unique in every way. 10: let us have at least 2 custom buildings for our shopping district. In happy homes you can design unique buildings like schools,hospitals ,restaurant, and shops. How cool it would be to go to Lyle and choose a works project building for your town out of 6 options & even better what if those buildings like the hotel or restaurant can make you weekly money? And Lastly, Bette works projects or at least a store for em. Did anyone even get all the public works projects? Cause last time I checked you had to wait for a random villager to suggest it, and it was really annoying & Time costuming if it wasn’t the project you wanted. Just make a better system for getting those projects because waiting for a 12% chance of getting one is stupid. ... ...... .......... Anyway great video btw 🙃
A few things I want in the new Animal Crossing coming out this year: 1. Paths 2. A much bigger island that has island villagers on it 3. A city you can travel to on the train which will have apartments that villagers can live in, shops, streets that you can drive a car on, and maybe a park or something where players can meet online 4. First time in a while RUclips has sent me recommendations for a neat channel that I otherwise would've never seen. I love your art style and the suggestions are spot on. Trading and mailing from town to town with friends is a *must* along with hopefully more social features. AC on switch has so much potential to be amazing and something that can be continually worked on, hopefully nintendo doesn't overlook this stuff as it would do soooo much to improve quality of life, especially on a modern console like this.
i was incredibly upset that there was no news about animal crossing in the direct. your ideas are giving me hope that the game will be great, though! the character customization idea with Rover was pretty creative imo
Here are the things I want: - AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE - A GYROID AND MUSIC SHOP (This really should've been in New Leaf and the normal way of getting gyroids and music SUCKS!) - An encyclopaedia where you can look through every animal in the game (even if they haven't lived in your town) including non-villagers like Isabelle and Tom Nook, and see their villager type (Uchi, Smug, Jock etc.) and their animal specie. - You should be able to buy more than one thing from Redd. - Have most, if not, ALL shops unlockable from the start. The expansions to Timmy and Tommy's store should stay unlockable, but not the gardening shop, Kicks, Shampoodle, and The Museum's second floor!) It would make the start of the game more enjoyable and fun! Do you agree/disagree with my opinions? What do you think? I really hope I get feedback from you people.
Ring Ring There are so many gyroids that it could take literally years to get all of them. Even if you time travel, it takes forever! A gyroid shop would make everything much more easier and convenient. I didn't even know how to get Kicks, Shampoodle, and Museum 2F until I saw a video all about how to unlock them. I think a good way to make getting paintings from Redd less... stupid (let's just say that) is to have him appear in town 2-3 days a week. It's tolerable for Katrina to only appear once a week, but Redd? NO I don't really care about getting paintings. I only donated one so I could get Museum 2F, but for the people who want to donate all of them... well, it's a total nightmare (Even if you time travel).
I think for auto save it should save only when you are offline and not playing multiplayer And I wouldn’t want to be able to buy multiple items from red as it gets rid of the betrayal of buying a fake item from him if you can buy 4 items per visit it just makes the fake items feel insignificant as you can just wait for the real item to show up next week and you don’t have the pain of knowing you chose that painting over a real painting
Heres a few suggestions, one per line. Lemme know which ones are good, I think I got a few winners :) Make the game big, like HUGE enough to warrant putting a bike in the game. Lemme travel, not just Island or city, I wanna go to different places like deep forests and Jungles. Shovels are lame, make caves for me to explore to get fossils and ore depending on where I am. I want move villager houses. Highlight which tiles public work projects can go and have me not talk to isabelle for hours. I want to interact with villagers more, dont make go inside and back out to get new text. I want new flag shapes, what flag is a straight up square? Lemme get actual flags or pennants. I want the ipad digby has in Happy Home Designer. I want to give Isabelle a raise. I want a greenhouse to breed flowers easier. I want to carry an i-pod full of KK songs I can listen to while I go around. I want to have more than 10 villagers to compensate for the lack of friends in real life. I want a list of everybody who ever lived or camped in my town. I want to use a phone to call villagers who moved away. I'll never forget you Apollo :*(
I really really want more customization. I wanna make my character, not just guess and hope I get a good looking one. I don't want to have to tan for several hours just to get the skin darker, it should already be an option. I also would love just overall more control over the village. And since it's on the switch, I hope the town and everything else is much more bigger and detailed. Edit: Wouldn't it be cool to be able to pick what type of town you want? Like when you're talking to the guy on the bus/train and he asks where you're headed, you're given different options like "oh this small practically deserted town" or "this place everyone says is empty" or "this nice quaint town with a few people".
starting from the ground up, living in some next post-apocalyptic world and making it nice is exactly what I want too, I thought I was the only one who didn't like how perfect everything was at first, its way more satisfying to turn a shithole into something nice.
To those watching in 2020 along with me, can we just appreciate how she predicted the WHOLE BASIS of new horizons? - You get customization of your character different to that of the ABC formula - You start out with 3 villagers and a shack as the town hall - You can put furniture outside
It would also be nice to have a better town project system. Laying out pathways, higher town project budget, etc. Would also be nice to see the return of the multiple tier towns. By this I mean like in the game cube game. We could have beach front properties. Actually with that being said, small yards for villagers would be cool. Perhaps during the Flower festivals we could see them tending to their gardens. Also as for that gyroid bit, I was quite sure in New Leaf that Roost actually would store your gyroids once you served a certain number of perfect orders.
I would love for your first character in town to be the mayor ACTUALLY RUNNING THINGS. And It would be so so cool if your second character could work for nook and renovate houses and buildings, customizing characters clothing. It would be so cool
Animal Crossing should add the ability to have more than one kind of "perfect" fruit in your town. And also Bananas, Coconuts, Lemons, Lychees, Durains, Mangoes, Persimmons, and Bamboo shoots should also have "perfect" forms too.
Here's what I want: Another side of Main Street that has houses for Nook, Isabelle, Leif and all the other NPCS that you can visit before and after their shops open and close! You can learn much more about Leif, Mabel, Harriet and many more!
Here's my opinion on the things you want: - I don't mind character customisation, but I don't think it's insanely needed. Shampoodle will be mostly useless if character customisation was in the game. I got the default boy in New Leaf that looks great on me so I haven't really experienced having an ugly character at the start of the game. - The town shouldn't look super terrible at the beginning of the game. It would make the start of the game less fun. - Animal Pictures are fine - The trading idea is pretty meh - I wish for the ability to remove rocks, but not ponds. You know something I think should be in the next Animal Crossing? Something I'm surprised no one is asking to be in the game? That thing is... AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE. If the next game doesn't have autosave, it would be a missed opportunity because games like Sonic Mania have this feature. You could set how often the game will autosave (Every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes). And maybe there can be an option to turn off autosave so Mr Resetti can still... exist. The Autosave option should at the same menu as the one where you can change the date and time or delete your town.
Cutie & Friends Adventures Shampoodle wouldn’t be useless just because character customization would be a thing. Everybody isn’t gonna keep the exact same hairstyle or color on their character from when they first set it.
I'm still CRAVING bat villagers. And it'd be cool to have more mythological creature or inanimate object villagers (like how Julian is a unicorn and Tia is a teapot). ALSO PLEASE MAKE DESIGNATED AREAS FOR VILLAGER HOUSES TO MOVE INTO AND MORE QR CODE/CUSTOM DESIGN STORAGE SPACE. Another nice thing would be Pokemon based RV's like the LoZ and Sanrio RV's.
I wanna be able to choose where villagers place their house. Like, Isabelle tells you aheae of time that someone will be moving in and that they would like you to choose where theie house is place so they dont have to worry about. Then, you'll go around with Nook to place down their house like you do with yours in the begining.
All of these are GREAT! I also really hope they increase pocket space, and/or give us a “toolbelt” so we can keep all our tools in ONE SLOT bc it’s a PAIN IN THE NECK to put my tools in my mail pocket when I need to pick something up. I also want more species, and more differences between the personalities. I want the cranky characters to be mean and the snooty ones to be snooty. I also really want to know more about the personal lives of the special characters, and I want to see more of ROVER! I MISS HIM!! and KK Slider,
I am so happy to have someone else enjoy Happy Home Design! I spend like hours on one home to make sure everything is perfect. Seriously I love that. It's so fun. It made me very disappointed to go back to New Leaf and being so restricted again. I generally love your ideas! I love the idea of starting from the ground up but who knows since they haven't even given us a theme of any sort for Animal Crossing.
Additional point, small thing I realized I wanted to mention. I wish you could interact with furniture like you can with Happy Home Design, like how you can read a book at a bookshelf, dance at a stereo, and cook at a stove. That stuff just made the world seem alive and I want the villagers to interact with things too.
YES! Love your ideas! They should also include big aquariums and terrariums in your house so you can put multiple animals in. So your house doesn't get so easily crammed with bugs and fish when you "hunt" in the night 😏🤑

I personally quite liked having your appearance determined by the answers you gave (maybe that's just nostalgia talking, idk) but it's about time there were different skin tones in a main AC game and I'd much rather have the latter than the former.

I just like number man, give me the feeling of making progress when I buy them stuff or talk to them. And I would be more up for a bike instead of a car, but it would be also great to visit other places without internet connection you know just like one other town that is included In-Game you could visit, like the Island in New Leaf (I really love that!). That you only can visit by car or bike, like that would be really cool! And the possibility for a bigger bag… to maybe upgrade my bag like in Stardew Valley. I just want more bag space 😭
You know what I want? The ability to give your characters ACTUAL personalities. Cause the only reason I kinda deal with the whole ABC appearance thing is that it makes me feel, even if just for a second this character has a personality of their own. Like, maybe you can have a good and bad reputation, do things like the ABC customisation thing every so often to flesh out your characters' personalities. It honestly just gets kinda boring playing as this, basically, empty husk of a person after a while. Also, I play New Leaf exclusively atm, cause it's the only one I currently have, so I don't know if this feature even exists in most games. But, one thing that always bothered me was that you couldn't interact with your other characters in your save. Like, you'd add them, but then when you switch to a different one, all that remains is their house and stuff, and sometimes people mention them in conversation. But, aside from that, when you switch characters the others pretty much just... Inexplicably *cease to exist.* This was much weirder for me in Wild World where you all would *LITERALLY SHARE A ROOM!!!* They were there. Just constantly sleeping. I don't know which is weirder...
What i really want is all the clothing options pocket camp has, like different shaped dresses and skirts and stuff, and then make them customizable! Especially pants/shorts/skirts customizing!!! I could take or leave shoes, but it would also be a nice touch. Also, maybe easier ways of unlocking the qr machine? While I loved talking to sable, it takes so long to unlock it if youre trying to unlock it on a (path slave) second character, especially if you dont TT
I want a sorta data transfer that lets you keep your character, bells, tpc, and the ability to bring one character with you when you move in and maybe more design categories and subcategories (shoes that would be regular shoes, hi tops, sandals, flip flops and boots, pants which would be shorts, regular pants, and skirts, and maybe other things) and definitely more amiibo functionality (e.g. scanning in the bayonetta amiibo and getting a bayonetta themed animal and rv and bayonetta themed items like maybe a model of umbra clock tower)
I want to choose where the villagers move °^° Maybe, Isabelle could tell you that a new villager wants to move into town when you start your game, so you go to the town hall and talk to Isabelle. Then you could decide whether you actually want the villager to move in, choose where to put their house (It could work like building pwp's) and if someone likes it random, they can choose not to go visit the town hall, and it'll be random like it is now!
I just want more character development. Different personalities for each animal and changes in the conversations the more you speak with them and become close-- like the first animal crossing. And witty puns.

Usually all the AC Switch videos I see have pretty generic shit like "oh, a bigger world" or "bigger island" or "jobs" I really vibe with more options to show my appreciation towards Isabelle, and having an amalgamation of HHD and ACNL when it comes to designing houses

I think Tom Nook might be the mayor in the new game. I really like your idea about the balloon thing, maybe there should be like stuff from Sanrio sets because everyone wants them and they are cute as heck. Also, maybe being able to do things that you can only do with hacking because the hacked towns are so nice and I just want to do that myself.

Okay hear me out... CAVES! I'll explain, if they bring back the layered map then you'll have the cliff wall like before, just put a "door" like a black hole that takes you into a cave. At first it would be small like a one room house but it would expand as you work it. You could find Crystal's for mining with a new tool the pick axe, a under ground lake for special fishing, special bugs maybe too. Every one's cave would be different and you have to work it to discover it. Its would be fun to explore friends caves to see how that paths take you to different areas. Also they should add ice fishing in the winter. OH! and the other up to 3 players in your town should be friends that are sharing the same map form different consoles. At the start of the game you should have an opinion to start a town or join a town just like before but it's just online. Also the camp sight could add a friend that is visiting your town in a RV and every time they load in it's at there camp/RV until there "vacation" is over and they go home. Haha. Okay it wasn't just about CAVES
YES!! I would love to see more customization in the game. Literally every time I add a new villager, after playing New Leaf since 2014, I have to go on the website and look up which faces I want. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME DIDDLY DARN STARTED ON THE HECKIN' VILLAGERS! I love them all nearly and dearly to my heart, but if they can spend a bunch of money on jazz in the retail store, they can give me more than 100 BELLS TO MAKE A SINGLE FIRE HYDRANT!! I really hope the town is much larger and they give villagers front lawns. If they give them front lawns that'll take a ton of space up so it'd be nice if they make the town a good bit larger to go along with it. Also gotta have some stuff from Happy Home Designer thrown in, like maybe letting me customize villagers homes when I become good friends with them. Never thought about customizing existing stores like Nooks, that's a really cool idea, but I feel like there'd have to be some more limitations than a normal house or store... I also think that if they have those stores and restaurants from HHD, they should be public works that you can place wherever in your town and remove at any time. We need public works to be easily switch-out-able. No more 1 day to demo and 1 day to build. If I had it in the past, lemme just bring in as many things as I want in 1 day, but have them take a day to come in, not instant. This would let me redesign my whole town for a change in season quick and easy without breaking the bank, and would be especially useful if they bring all the seasonal public works lookin things from Pocket Camp in like all those juicy Halloween outdoor accessories :) More online safety stuff would be nice. Like you're saying, have a trading system built in, but not only that, also include like a "safe town mode" for multiplayer that lets another player visit your town, but they can't pick up anything they didn't drop, cut down trees, erase paths (oh god please an integrated path tool too so I can't erase my own paths by accident either), etc. This would be really nice if they have more open online where you can meet random people you don't know and invite them over to hang out. Yeah landscaping should have a new shop and set of characters in the new game... we need somewhere I can go and be like "ok I don't like this cliff being like this, this pond's gotta go, and move these rocks around". I also just got a great idea... what if they had different kinds of rocks? Like I can pick rocks that are more aesthetically pleasing so the necessary evil of having x amount of rocks in my town doesn't feel so bad? Better item storage yesss. Certain things like gems need to stack in storage so I don't need a whole new character to hold them all, and we need special storage for stuff like fossils and gyroids so (Blathers and Brewster) so I can hold my spares without taking up all my space. Also an item storage warehouse that lets me view items I own by set and retrieve them within the hour as opposed to selling them when I don't need them, then ordering them back 1 at a time from the catalog when I do.
Happy Home Designer was my cocaine addiction! I loved it so much! I loved meeting the villagers I wanted, decorating/designing public buildings how I wanted, prettying up the exterior of each villager's home, and the ease of control for placing and moving furniture around. Basically, I want HHD 2.

@Dr Judgement Yeah but the random something never gave me much initiative to pop balloons. The only reason I actually went after balloons was only for the Golden Slingshot but I stopped after I got it. I definitely think balloon exclusive furniture will be a fun way to get people to want to go after it, or maybe even another use for the slingshot.
@Dr Judgement I like the idea of having the different balloons. I believe the spaceship was not in NL so maybe they can add that back in as well with maybe a new furniture set.

About the first one: I think when you first start the game, you should do the whole “ABC” stuff, but maybe rover or kapp'n or whoever can give us a mirror at the end of the ride and we could use that to change our look or if we buy a vanity then we could use that?
Or they could make it so that we meet a blind animal in the train and they ask us to describe how we look like, and then they take us to the menu to pick our appearance. I really like the idea of the mirror though, that's just the idea I had come up with

Instead of Gyroid storage, how about a Gyroid section in the meuseum? You could even still interact with them when they're on display so the exibits could have a custom beat made by you! Also I think Carts from Mario Kart should be featured, because Kapp'n had a Taxi in Wild World and a frickin' BUS in Let's Go to The City, so it's not like automobiles don't exist in the Animal Crossing Universe. Also I want a way to choose villagers in my town, just so I can have my old favorites back. Because in my town I made just this year, I got Rosie AND Kid Kat moved in, who was my favorite in my old town. It was such good luck and now I'll have to abandon them for the new title.

I would love it if animal crossing would have a bigger map, or maybe being able to buy more land? Oh, or even being able to build on water, like mini islands for villagers to live in or just enjoy being there. It would also be nice to be able to make your own animal as a new character to play as. Once you become best friends with that type of animal. And becoming friends with more of that kind of animal (or personality side) would add more color, patterns, or accessory options. It would also be cool to be able to host events that villagers recommend.

These ideas are great! If we don't get to be mayor again, something like a city planner or town developer would be the next best thing. Fully customizing the map from the ground up, including the placement of houses and paths as a built in feature would be cool.

Coco was my favorite villager in new leaf she was there since day 1 and left me after 3 years😢 She was really nice, wrote me letters everyday, would come over, would want to talk. And I got “the picture frame”. I just really wish I still had her now 2 years since she left 😢

I’m actually shocked to see that we both have identical wants for animal crossing. Tho there’s still a few more things that should be added in.
1: Have all new elements from new leaf to pocket camp added in. Happy homes gave us new interact able furniture like Curtains & doorways or tambouring To jukeboxes. From pocket camps honey/fish net system (that could make finding rare fish/insects a lot more easier *cough* the tarantula *cough*) even porting over amiibo festivals mini games like in the welcome amiibo update can be a good idea, heck why not turn tortimir islands online games to amiibo festival ones. (Better than what we already had)
2: town attraction, you know the new feature to make your own exhibit in the museum in new leaf? Why not have the same with your town; if they can add a camp ground for RVs, they can do the same for you. Being able to place furniture and flooring would make villages for different and unique. It could work just like pocket camper.
3:more things to do online with friends, outside of trade and maybe the island games...what else is there? At least adding in the amiibo festival games could spice things up Oh maybe a in game quiz show. 😱
4: more Nintendo themed villagers, the Zelda & splatoon ones where amazing in the welcome amiibo update, but what if they add in Bowser or PAC-man? It would be great plus if they can’t make 3rd party villagers just do what they did for the villager amiibo( just an empty RV full of there stuff to order)
5:more events and past hoildays/gimmicks, anyone remember the dump in the 1st animal crossing or Spirts Day? With town projects being s thing why not make the dump an option? Also there needs to be more events than just bugs and fishing. Why not mining or a collectithon of fruit or competitive Simon says idk just more events would be nice.
6: a public park (than can be accessed offline) the street pass plaza was an interesting concept in new leaf but pretty boring, what if they made a park that you can pop in and meet actual moving chating player that aren’t just standing around. The park could hold up to 10/20 players and you can trade or invite them to your town oooor just play on the slide & swings become you can 🙃
7: YOU CHOOSE WHERE THE VILLAGER MOVES ON TO!!
Show of hands, how many times have you made a decorative village full of gold flowers & custome walkways and BAM some villager thot it way a good idea to plant their home on your winning rose garden. Please have it to where you can talk to the secretary or whoever to choose where they want to move to so we can prevent this choas.
8:3 new villager animals (that aren’t shop/event based) seeing your normal cats and bunnies are cute an all but more animal types would be nice, maybe throw it bat villagers or maybe a crab one (similar body shape to frogs) any new animal would most likely be welcomed
9: new village environments,
This was probably overlooked in happy homes but having the ability to change the environment of your town from highland mountains to dessert oasis at the beginning of the game when your choosing your map and character design; this would make your town and other peoples towns be unique in every way.
10: let us have at least 2 custom buildings for our shopping district. In happy homes you can design unique buildings like schools,hospitals ,restaurant, and shops. How cool it would be to go to Lyle and choose a works project building for your town out of 6 options & even better what if those buildings like the hotel or restaurant can make you weekly money?
And Lastly, Bette works projects or at least a store for em. Did anyone even get all the public works projects? Cause last time I checked you had to wait for a random villager to suggest it, and it was really annoying & Time costuming if it wasn’t the project you wanted. Just make a better system for getting those projects because waiting for a 12% chance of getting one is stupid.

First time in a while RUclips has sent me recommendations for a neat channel that I otherwise would've never seen. I love your art style and the suggestions are spot on. Trading and mailing from town to town with friends is a *must* along with hopefully more social features. AC on switch has so much potential to be amazing and something that can be continually worked on, hopefully nintendo doesn't overlook this stuff as it would do soooo much to improve quality of life, especially on a modern console like this.
i was incredibly upset that there was no news about animal crossing in the direct. your ideas are giving me hope that the game will be great, though! the character customization idea with Rover was pretty creative imo
Here are the things I want:
- AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE
- A GYROID AND MUSIC SHOP (This really should've been in New Leaf and the normal way of getting gyroids and music SUCKS!)
- An encyclopaedia where you can look through every animal in the game (even if they haven't lived in your town) including non-villagers like Isabelle and Tom Nook, and see their villager type (Uchi, Smug, Jock etc.) and their animal specie.
- You should be able to buy more than one thing from Redd.
- Have most, if not, ALL shops unlockable from the start. The expansions to Timmy and Tommy's store should stay unlockable, but not the gardening shop, Kicks, Shampoodle, and The Museum's second floor!) It would make the start of the game more enjoyable and fun!

Ring Ring There are so many gyroids that it could take literally years to get all of them. Even if you time travel, it takes forever! A gyroid shop would make everything much more easier and convenient.
I didn't even know how to get Kicks, Shampoodle, and Museum 2F until I saw a video all about how to unlock them. I think a good way to make getting paintings from Redd less... stupid (let's just say that) is to have him appear in town 2-3 days a week. It's tolerable for Katrina to only appear once a week, but Redd? NO
I don't really care about getting paintings. I only donated one so I could get Museum 2F, but for the people who want to donate all of them... well, it's a total nightmare (Even if you time travel).
I think for auto save it should save only when you are offline and not playing multiplayer
And I wouldn’t want to be able to buy multiple items from red as it gets rid of the betrayal of buying a fake item from him if you can buy 4 items per visit it just makes the fake items feel insignificant as you can just wait for the real item to show up next week and you don’t have the pain of knowing you chose that painting over a real painting

I want to interact with villagers more, dont make go inside and back out to get new text.
I want new flag shapes, what flag is a straight up square? Lemme get actual flags or pennants.
I want the ipad digby has in Happy Home Designer.
I want to give Isabelle a raise.
I want a greenhouse to breed flowers easier.
I want to carry an i-pod full of KK songs I can listen to while I go around.
I want to have more than 10 villagers to compensate for the lack of friends in real life.
I want a list of everybody who ever lived or camped in my town.
I want to use a phone to call villagers who moved away. I'll never forget you Apollo :*(
I really really want more customization. I wanna make my character, not just guess and hope I get a good looking one. I don't want to have to tan for several hours just to get the skin darker, it should already be an option. I also would love just overall more control over the village. And since it's on the switch, I hope the town and everything else is much more bigger and detailed.
Edit: Wouldn't it be cool to be able to pick what type of town you want? Like when you're talking to the guy on the bus/train and he asks where you're headed, you're given different options like "oh this small practically deserted town" or "this place everyone says is empty" or "this nice quaint town with a few people".
starting from the ground up, living in some next post-apocalyptic world and making it nice is exactly what I want too, I thought I was the only one who didn't like how perfect everything was at first, its way more satisfying to turn a shithole into something nice.

To those watching in 2020 along with me, can we just appreciate how she predicted the WHOLE BASIS of new horizons?
- You get customization of your character different to that of the ABC formula
- You start out with 3 villagers and a shack as the town hall
- You can put furniture outside
Not to mention being able to eventually move around ponds/water
Though I dunno about normal rocks.
It would also be nice to have a better town project system. Laying out pathways, higher town project budget, etc. Would also be nice to see the return of the multiple tier towns. By this I mean like in the game cube game. We could have beach front properties. Actually with that being said, small yards for villagers would be cool. Perhaps during the Flower festivals we could see them tending to their gardens.
Also as for that gyroid bit, I was quite sure in New Leaf that Roost actually would store your gyroids once you served a certain number of perfect orders.
It's amazing how a lot of these ideas you've said back then actually are coming to new horizons!

I would love for your first character in town to be the mayor ACTUALLY RUNNING THINGS. And It would be so so cool if your second character could work for nook and renovate houses and buildings, customizing characters clothing. It would be so cool
Animal Crossing should add the ability to have more than one kind of "perfect" fruit in your town. And also Bananas, Coconuts, Lemons, Lychees, Durains, Mangoes, Persimmons, and Bamboo shoots should also have "perfect" forms too.

Another side of Main Street that has houses for Nook, Isabelle, Leif and all the other NPCS that you can visit before and after their shops open and close! You can learn much more about Leif, Mabel, Harriet and many more!
Here's my opinion on the things you want:
- I don't mind character customisation, but I don't think it's insanely needed. Shampoodle will be mostly useless if character customisation was in the game. I got the default boy in New Leaf that looks great on me so I haven't really experienced having an ugly character at the start of the game.
- The town shouldn't look super terrible at the beginning of the game. It would make the start of the game less fun.
- Animal Pictures are fine
- The trading idea is pretty meh
- I wish for the ability to remove rocks, but not ponds.
You know something I think should be in the next Animal Crossing? Something I'm surprised no one is asking to be in the game? That thing is... AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE. If the next game doesn't have autosave, it would be a missed opportunity because games like Sonic Mania have this feature. You could set how often the game will autosave (Every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes). And maybe there can be an option to turn off autosave so Mr Resetti can still... exist. The Autosave option should at the same menu as the one where you can change the date and time or delete your town.
Cutie & Friends Adventures Shampoodle wouldn’t be useless just because character customization would be a thing. Everybody isn’t gonna keep the exact same hairstyle or color on their character from when they first set it.
I'm still CRAVING bat villagers. And it'd be cool to have more mythological creature or inanimate object villagers (like how Julian is a unicorn and Tia is a teapot).
ALSO PLEASE MAKE DESIGNATED AREAS FOR VILLAGER HOUSES TO MOVE INTO AND MORE QR CODE/CUSTOM DESIGN STORAGE SPACE.
Another nice thing would be Pokemon based RV's like the LoZ and Sanrio RV's.
The ending was actually terrifying and only re-enforces my fear of the gyroids.
I wanna be able to choose where villagers place their house. Like, Isabelle tells you aheae of time that someone will be moving in and that they would like you to choose where theie house is place so they dont have to worry about. Then, you'll go around with Nook to place down their house like you do with yours in the begining.
It would be cool if you could marry other villagers and or players you have in your town, like in the harvest moon games

I am so happy to have someone else enjoy Happy Home Design! I spend like hours on one home to make sure everything is perfect. Seriously I love that. It's so fun. It made me very disappointed to go back to New Leaf and being so restricted again.
I generally love your ideas! I love the idea of starting from the ground up but who knows since they haven't even given us a theme of any sort for Animal Crossing.
Additional point, small thing I realized I wanted to mention. I wish you could interact with furniture like you can with Happy Home Design, like how you can read a book at a bookshelf, dance at a stereo, and cook at a stove. That stuff just made the world seem alive and I want the villagers to interact with things too.

I want the ability to start a co-op town where you and your friend(s) can have a town together online and LAN.
You know what I want? The ability to give your characters ACTUAL personalities. Cause the only reason I kinda deal with the whole ABC appearance thing is that it makes me feel, even if just for a second this character has a personality of their own. Like, maybe you can have a good and bad reputation, do things like the ABC customisation thing every so often to flesh out your characters' personalities. It honestly just gets kinda boring playing as this, basically, empty husk of a person after a while.
Also, I play New Leaf exclusively atm, cause it's the only one I currently have, so I don't know if this feature even exists in most games. But, one thing that always bothered me was that you couldn't interact with your other characters in your save. Like, you'd add them, but then when you switch to a different one, all that remains is their house and stuff, and sometimes people mention them in conversation. But, aside from that, when you switch characters the others pretty much just... Inexplicably *cease to exist.* This was much weirder for me in Wild World where you all would *LITERALLY SHARE A ROOM!!!* They were there. Just constantly sleeping. I don't know which is weirder...
I want the next character to lose their glasses or be blind. They ask you to describe yourself.
What i really want is all the clothing options pocket camp has, like different shaped dresses and skirts and stuff, and then make them customizable! Especially pants/shorts/skirts customizing!!! I could take or leave shoes, but it would also be a nice touch. Also, maybe easier ways of unlocking the qr machine? While I loved talking to sable, it takes so long to unlock it if youre trying to unlock it on a (path slave) second character, especially if you dont TT
I want a sorta data transfer that lets you keep your character, bells, tpc, and the ability to bring one character with you when you move in and maybe more design categories and subcategories (shoes that would be regular shoes, hi tops, sandals, flip flops and boots, pants which would be shorts, regular pants, and skirts, and maybe other things) and definitely more amiibo functionality (e.g. scanning in the bayonetta amiibo and getting a bayonetta themed animal and rv and bayonetta themed items like maybe a model of umbra clock tower)
I want to choose where the villagers move °^° Maybe, Isabelle could tell you that a new villager wants to move into town when you start your game, so you go to the town hall and talk to Isabelle. Then you could decide whether you actually want the villager to move in, choose where to put their house (It could work like building pwp's) and if someone likes it random, they can choose not to go visit the town hall, and it'll be random like it is now!

I think Tom Nook might be the mayor in the new game. I really like your idea about the balloon thing, maybe there should be like stuff from Sanrio sets because everyone wants them and they are cute as heck. Also, maybe being able to do things that you can only do with hacking because the hacked towns are so nice and I just want to do that myself.

Okay hear me out... CAVES!
I'll explain, if they bring back the layered map then you'll have the cliff wall like before, just put a "door" like a black hole that takes you into a cave. At first it would be small like a one room house but it would expand as you work it. You could find Crystal's for mining with a new tool the pick axe, a under ground lake for special fishing, special bugs maybe too. Every one's cave would be different and you have to work it to discover it. Its would be fun to explore friends caves to see how that paths take you to different areas.
Also they should add ice fishing in the winter.
OH! and the other up to 3 players in your town should be friends that are sharing the same map form different consoles. At the start of the game you should have an opinion to start a town or join a town just like before but it's just online. Also the camp sight could add a friend that is visiting your town in a RV and every time they load in it's at there camp/RV until there "vacation" is over and they go home.

YES!! I would love to see more customization in the game. Literally every time I add a new villager, after playing New Leaf since 2014, I have to go on the website and look up which faces I want. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME DIDDLY DARN STARTED ON THE HECKIN' VILLAGERS! I love them all nearly and dearly to my heart, but if they can spend a bunch of money on jazz in the retail store, they can give me more than 100 BELLS TO MAKE A SINGLE FIRE HYDRANT!! Loved the vid, btw!!

I really hope the town is much larger and they give villagers front lawns. If they give them front lawns that'll take a ton of space up so it'd be nice if they make the town a good bit larger to go along with it.
Also gotta have some stuff from Happy Home Designer thrown in, like maybe letting me customize villagers homes when I become good friends with them. Never thought about customizing existing stores like Nooks, that's a really cool idea, but I feel like there'd have to be some more limitations than a normal house or store... I also think that if they have those stores and restaurants from HHD, they should be public works that you can place wherever in your town and remove at any time.
We need public works to be easily switch-out-able. No more 1 day to demo and 1 day to build. If I had it in the past, lemme just bring in as many things as I want in 1 day, but have them take a day to come in, not instant. This would let me redesign my whole town for a change in season quick and easy without breaking the bank, and would be especially useful if they bring all the seasonal public works lookin things from Pocket Camp in like all those juicy Halloween outdoor accessories :)
More online safety stuff would be nice. Like you're saying, have a trading system built in, but not only that, also include like a "safe town mode" for multiplayer that lets another player visit your town, but they can't pick up anything they didn't drop, cut down trees, erase paths (oh god please an integrated path tool too so I can't erase my own paths by accident either), etc. This would be really nice if they have more open online where you can meet random people you don't know and invite them over to hang out.
Yeah landscaping should have a new shop and set of characters in the new game... we need somewhere I can go and be like "ok I don't like this cliff being like this, this pond's gotta go, and move these rocks around". I also just got a great idea... what if they had different kinds of rocks? Like I can pick rocks that are more aesthetically pleasing so the necessary evil of having x amount of rocks in my town doesn't feel so bad?
Better item storage yesss. Certain things like gems need to stack in storage so I don't need a whole new character to hold them all, and we need special storage for stuff like fossils and gyroids so (Blathers and Brewster) so I can hold my spares without taking up all my space. Also an item storage warehouse that lets me view items I own by set and retrieve them within the hour as opposed to selling them when I don't need them, then ordering them back 1 at a time from the catalog when I do.

Happy Home Designer was my cocaine addiction! I loved it so much! I loved meeting the villagers I wanted, decorating/designing public buildings how I wanted, prettying up the exterior of each villager's home, and the ease of control for placing and moving furniture around. Basically, I want HHD 2.
