This 5th iteration of the 996 carries on the plush feeling FuelCell in the midsole, while making some durability and stability refinements. An all new NDure upper material increases the durability, while maintaining a nice and supportive fit. The midsole topline has been raised on the lateral edge to improve the lateral stability, for the aggressive cuts out on the court. The trusty NDurance rubber compound provides durability in high-wear areas, and the traction grips and gives when needed for the gritty hard courts. Backed by a six-month outsole durability guarantee.

Hello.
Hehehhehe...one man is playing with Boris Becker's racket 😜😜😜😜
Thks for the vidéo 😊😊😊
@Tennis Warehouse - Is that Chris playing with 80s Boris Becker Puma racquet or am I hallucinating about my childhood?!
Ah hell Yeah!!! Lets hope that is just a sneak peek at what is to come from Puma!!! I use to play w/ that racquet during my college years. ( I did hate that it didnt have a bumper guard and how much babolat racquet head tape I used. )
Do you have any news on Ben Shelton’s ON shoes? It looks different from RogerPro. Thanks.
He's testing some protos that are not currently available to buy or try. Soon hopefully!
Michelle, TW
Do you guys any shoe recommendations for husky players? One that doesn’t bottom out in like month and I don’t have to slap an insole in to keep the comfort of the shoe?
The Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo was my favorite, and very well cushioned underfoot, and seemed to hold up well over time. We still have a couple options available but are in the women's version, so some have tried adjusting up a size and a half. Some other shoes that we recommend for underfoot cushioning are Diadora B.Icon 2, or Diadora Speed Finale, KSwiss Hypercourt Express 2, Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour, Asics Court FF3. This one may not be the best looker haha, but the New Balance MC 1007 is pretty well cushioned and very comfortable overall. Troy, TW
Does the “sticky outsole” wear out? Or is that a permanent issue? Id love to get these due to wide feet friendly, but I also love to slide. So sticky outsole is kind of a deal breaker.
Not sure to say that it would be a deal breaker, but yes the outsole does have more of a sticky feel compared to most shoes that we have tested. Our playtester Jason said that he didn't prefer them when sliding however, he doesn't slide all that frequently or aggressively. He said that for those players who slide a lot, or more of an advanced hardcourt slider, it might not be as much of an issue. Troy, TW
@Tennis Warehouse - This question is for Jason Huang! I have a pair of these shoes and love them and find the D width is perfect for me in a size 11.5 as the 12 was too big. Would you say the New Balance X CT-Rally fit more narrower in the D width compared to the 996 in D Width?
Yea, I found them to be fit slightly more snug. Probably because the 996 has a more flexible feeling upper compared the the CT Rally. We have free returns so best bet is probably to order a 11.5 and a 12 and return the one that doesn't fit. Good luck!
Jason, TW
There is a clay version of this shoe? I use it for play Pádel. Thanks
Unfortunately, we do not carry a clay version of this shoe. Troy, TW
Did Chris bust out an early 90’s Estusa BB for this?
I sure did! It's always fun to take one out for a hit every now and then. Cheers, Chris, TW
@@tenniswarehouse I’m very jealous I loved that racquet.
What head racquet is Jason using ?
That is a blacked out version of the Head Speed MP 2022. Troy, TW
Does this shoe have a stiff outsole? or isn't it more cushiony a bit like a running shoe. I'm looking for a stiffer tennis shoe
We'd say it is a bit softer. The New Balance CT Rallys have a bit of a stiffer outsole though! That might be the way to go!
Michelle, TW
Need x wide white new balance shoe size 8.5
Hello guys, is the fit and last changed from the 996v4?
Not a 100% on the last but I would assume so, or maybe it is just the upper material because after a couple of wears in these shoe I would say they are roomier or more generous in the width compared to the v4, given the same D width. Troy, TW
@tenniswarehouse thanks crafty zurdo!
Would you guys say this shoe is more comfortable than the ct rally?
I think we would all say the CT Rally is more comfortable, and a better performing shoe all around. For us, the 996 has step in comfort around the heel but seems to lack some underfoot cushioning and support. Hope that helps!
Michelle, TW
