The beans of coffee can be roasted with durian. Therefore, you hv both coffee and durian taste altogether. White coffee: coffee beans can be roasted with butter but at lower temperature instead of high temperature. Because at high temperature it is darkened and many minerals are destroyed. Roasting at lower temperature keeps the minerals intact.

Do try Ipoh's bean sprout chicken rice. Singaporeans come down on weekends just to eat those. Apparently its the mentor of Singapore's own chicken rice!

White coffee was created by the Malaysian Ipoh Chinese to adapt to coffee drinking culture and to make it more to their taste, they slow roasted coffee beans with butter or margarine thus why you could taste the creamy and buttery hint from it

If you like noodles, and if you go to mamak restaurant/nasi kandar restaurant that is indian muslim restaurant, I highly suggest you to order “mee goreng mamak” ( mamak fried noodle), and ask them to put chicken in it…it’s one of the popular fried noodle dishes in Malaysia….it is eaten by every race in Malaysia…some people go to the extra mile by requesting squid sambal to be put in it.

Ipoh is unique, with its limestone hills and cave temples. Do try the Anderson curry house at the Andersonian’s club, they serve rice and curry on banana leaf. It is the best I have tasted in Ipoh and has a great ambiance. It is situated next to my old school, the Anderson school Ipoh. Thanks for the great video!

Ipoh is also famous for nasi ganja(in penang it is called nasi kandar), chinese dim sum, beansprout chicken rice(ga choi kai), heong peng(fragrant cookies), siew pau, pamelo fruits, 'sak ke ma' - caramelised sticky cakes. Noodles is also good especially dry curry noodles from yee fatt restaurant.

    Welcome to Ipoh, my hometown.
Not very far from Tasik Cermin (about 16km) is Kellie's Castle, one of tourist attraction you shouldn't miss.
I recommend you to visit the underrated royal town of Kuala Kangsar, where the castle of the Sultan of Perak (Istana Iskandariah) is located. Other attractions you can visit in Kuala Kangsar include historical Victoria Bridge (old railway bridge), Istana Kenangan (royal museum), Galeri Sultan Azlan, Malay College (MCKK), Masjid Ubudiah, etc. You can also participate in Labu Sayong making (traditional water pitcher), Keris Craftsmanship (Malay traditional weapon), Tekat Emas weaving (gold thread embroidery).
And not to forget, you can visit the first rubber tree planted in Malaya back in 1877 nearby MCKK and still standing strong today!

@@sunkissedbucketlist I would say both Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar are underrated for international travellers. But they have their own charms. State of Perak used to be the richest state in Peninsular Malaysia over 100 years ago due to tin minings and rubber plantations.
Perak was so rich, the state of Selangor had to borrow money from Perak state government for the construction of Klang - Kuala Lumpur railway in 1880s. This railway services and the selection of Kuala Lumpur in 1895 as the administrative capital of Federated Malay States @ FMS (4 states - Perak, Selangor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan) became the game changer in the development of Selangor as the most developed state today.
I also recommend you to visit the historical town of Taiping as you can visit the many "first" (40 at least) in the country such as first museum, first zoo, first prison, first operational railway line, first police station, first hospital, first hill resort, first lake garden, first golf course and the list goes on.

It is not condensed milk. No.
What is White Coffee? White Coffee is coffee roasted half of the way through and to a lower temperature. By roasting it to this much lower temperature, you get a whitish colored bean that is higher in caffeine because you roast out less caffeine
