    The shakiness at the start could represent Ethel's initial struggle to accept what happened in her life, so I can accept that. Once you get to "but I still feel like they all know," I think you need to put as much power as you have into it as the full weight of reality hits Ethel and her conviction grows in her perspective.

      thank you so MUCH! I appreciate that :( as for the editing I use reverb and a lot of mixing to give that ethel cain sound. for vocals I also denoise, get rid of higher frequencies and maximise my lower range with some tools in Bandlab. i only use Bandlab, shitty apple wired headphones and a closet. yep i sing in my closet and it gives a great sound!! let me know if you’ll be working on some stuff would love to hear it
