This is hands down my favorite depiction of dark sonic. No evil voice or quips with malice. He’s just silent menace and brutally efficient, no longer having any fun in the fight. It’s the perfect other half to sonic, and I do think that keeping him silent and his appearances sparse and brief is key. Sonic is like the wind, carefree and unchained. Dark sonic is like a storm, appearing and disappearing suddenly, leaving behind destruction.
This is pure nostalgia. Hopefully new Sonic fans when they finally watch Nazo Unleashed will see how interesting and amazing it was for us to watch it all those years ago
