    Hello, I just want to say thank you for all of these videos. I find it difficult to imagine where I would be right in my practice without these. There are a many of other videos on this art, (and I am still on the basics) your videos are so in depth that I kinda just psych myself up and tell myself that all this is very do-able. If I only watched the ones with all the fancy moves and no real explanations, I would get frustrated and it would take me much longer to progress. So, thank you very much.

    ... I think, the REASON people get CONFUSED while learning this, is that MOVEMENT where you have to MOVE your anchor arm around your head and rest it on your other shoulder, after the "hello" and BEFORE doing the neck-spin :3
    COOL MOVE. THX A LOT! :D
    (I was already working on something like that ... you just gave me the final clue now :D)

    Don't know why, but I read this title as "how to brake your neck in multiple ways, strangle yourself or being injured in a way you won't explain at hospital" :D

    I like her teaching style. Direct and straight to the points. And then she gives people the chance to grasp it by doing it again a few times. Thumbs up for that. Someone like Michelle Christa Smith could learn a lot from her. Michelle Christa Smith talks and talks and talks endlessly about all the possible mistakes people can make and do only very little instruction. Man I got so tired of watching her. But this girl I like. She´s human. :)

    I never realised you could do neck spins stationary. 😳 I have bin doing the staping neckspin. Catch it around the neck then take a step to switch sides and let it rol if the neck. Then catch it again and switch to the other side. Or catch it with lead hand and make small figuer 8ts to switch it up in between rotations. I never tryed this but I will cause it looks cool.

    This is what I wanted you to use a GoPro for. So much easier to see in slo mo. GoPro would let you film in 120fps and slow it down and still be 60fps.

    Iv been doing rope dart for abour 7 years and just picked up puppy hammer. After a few months of messing with the new toy, sequenses I would normally fail at slowly blossom into something that looks and feels awesome. So dont stop failing. Eventually thoughs fails will add up to accomplishments. ❤

    Hey Flow! How are you? Hope all is well! I think I'm going to play with this one and see what happens! I love that you're so thorough with your instructions. Your explanations are easy to understand and follow! I have experience in neck wraps and am always looking to add more. Even though my style is more martial related,I've been able to expand my repitoire thanks to you! We're already preparing for Chinese New Year (in February) now. Relentless practice. I'm working on a new form,when I'm comfortable with it I'll send you a video. Keep up the awesome work! Looking forward to future videos!

    Thank you very much for such great content you are creating ive been doing rope dart for about 4hrs in my life! and im learning so much with your detailed videos! I noticed you are doing this with your anchor hand as the lead? How is a way to transfer from lead->anchor on the go?

  • @aeriallife6525
    @aeriallife6525 3 года назад

    Wondering why this sequence is performed on anchor side? Could it not be performed on lead side as well?

    Hey Sam, just curious, what is the weight of your dart head?

    • @FlowMayhem
      @FlowMayhem  3 года назад +1

      10-11 oz :) heavy AF

    • @frogjackethuman781
      @frogjackethuman781 3 года назад

      @@FlowMayhem Wow! I'm a beginner myself. Mine is 8.5 which feels a bit light to me. I think heavier means easier to control, but you get tired more easily + it hurts more when you hit yourself haha!

    Two questions: 1: Is this a fighting or dancing tool? and 2: These things are lit on fire a lot, right? How does one prevent the rope from getting caught in or burning long hair?

    • @FlowMayhem
      @FlowMayhem  4 года назад

      its originally a fighting tool, now used by dancers as well. and practice helps. ideally one only drills moves there are feeling confident with when spinning fire in my opinion.
