I think Anthropocene Reviewed is easy to dip in and out of, so while there are a lot of heavy moments, it's balanced with humor and none of the essays are all that long! I'm actually thinking about doing a reread this summer when I visit my family👑
Anthropocene Reviewed would be great for a trip! It’s a collection of short but heartfelt essays about the things that make life meaningful and connect us to others! Some will resonate with you deeper than others, so would be great in between any novel reading 😊 stick a stack of page tabs on the back cover for the ultimate travel-ready read :)
👑 I absolutely love the way of the kings series! I am on book 3 of the series! Once you start it and get a few chapters in it’ll start picking up and you’ll love it. It’s one of the best fantasy series I’ve read in a long time. I really hope you like it.
The one by John Marrs and The long way to a small angry planet by Becky chambers are both 5 star reads for me 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’m feeling good vibes for this month’s tbr!
i can see there's a bunch of positive comments about The Anthropocene Reviewed, but here is one more for your list: it's such a good book for a trip! sometimes it's the silliest, sometimes it's a bit heavier, but it's always gentle and worthwhile. 👑
Anthropocene Reviewed was great. There’s humor to balance out the heavy stuff and he narrates the audiobook himself which I highly recommend! It’s also easy to put down after an essay and then pick up with the next one whenever the mood strikes.
I just finished The Anthropocene Reviewed and it’s a good time! It’s not always heavy. Definitely some commenting on humanity, but the good and the bad.
The anthrocopene reviewed is absolutely incredible!!! Some sad/heavier moments but the light and love and beauty of it far surpasses. Highly recommend the audio which is narrated by John green himself. Ugh it’s unforgettable. And the familiar is incredible also!!
Loved the Anthropocene Reviewed - short little stories, many of which had me laughing out loud. I read it quite a while ago and I still think about it often. Great book!
let it be known that you are just my favourite person to watch, ever. even got my girlfriend into ur vids, will always immediately click when i see you in my sub box! happy reading
Love these TBR videos, so fun!! 🫶 My family and I just got back from Indianapolis yesterday! We did a lot and had a great time. The central canal and monument circle were neat and my kids loved the zoo and children's museum! 👑
like everyone else said, Anthropocene would be a great one for traveling. i'm rereading it right now - this time on audio and both are great ways to read it!
The Way of Kings is such an easy read. You just sink into. It grabbed me from the prologue, and I had read 300 pages before I realized it. 😂 I’m currently reading The Stand by Stephen King. It’s absolutely brilliant. Over 1100 pages, but it doesn’t feel like it at all. It’s also getting rid of a recent (2023-2024) fear of big books. I’d never been afraid of them before and I’m so glad to be free of it again.
Good luck with Way of Kings. I want to read all of Stormlight (so far I have read none of it) before the 5th one comes out. There is no way I will do this, but I love the idea. I am reading Assassin's Quest right now and I LOVE it. Hope you continue to enjoy Farseer. Happy reading.
👑👑👑 I"ve had The Familiar for a while and am *so* looking forward to it. So, I'll read that one with you this month. But I don't think there are any vampires (not positive) but it is about Witches (my fav) !!
I have read The Familiar and I must say, I don't remember it. I read it at the beginning of June and it was unremarkable for me. Sorry to all who loved it.
Anthropocene is beautiful, but I do not recommend it as a light travel read. It touches on some heavy topics, and put me in a weird mood after I finished it. It's well written, but I'd say be ready for a heavier read beforehand 👑
Don’t be intimidated by A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet for being scifi! It’s a very character driven story that just so happens to take place in space. Very easy to get into and I have a feeling you’ll love most of the protagonists 🤍
apparently there's no vampires in the Familiar! everyone is getting tricked because of the Gothic vibe 😂 I've seen so many reviews surprised that there's no vampires, so heads up!
Picking extra book to punish you from not reading Way of King is counter productive at this point 😂 you pick more books which Makes you less inclined to pick Way of kings.
just wanted to say - the familiar is not about vampires! I just wanted to throw that out there bc I dont want you (or anyone else lol) to not enjoy it bc you’re expecting something else!
even spin the bottle is telling you to read the way of kings already
LOL! I think you should not let yourself buy any books until you read Way of Kings. 😂😂

Agreed! Easy to pick up and put down. Not the happiest book of all time but not anything that will be a big downer either
The One is an excellent airplane book, the pages will FLY 👑
Good Luck with your July TBR especially The Way of Kings. 👑👑👑👑👑

Your giggles during these videos are my fav! 😍👑

Anthropocene Reviewed is not heavy... def recommend the audiobook!!
I just finished The Anthropocene Reviewed and it’s a good time!

👑 I read the angry planet book last week and enjoyed it. Calm vibes while a lot happens, odd but apt description x
Love when you read thrillers!👑
Always love these videos! I too have been putting off Way of Kings far too long!👑

👑👑I’m curious to see what you think of The Familiar because I was INCREDIBLY disappointed
👑 I loved the Anthropocene Reviewed! I don't think it was too heavy 🥰
That is a stacked stack of books. So many five star reads in there (for me obvs, but maybe for you, too!)
omg my book got chosen 🥹 in my birthday month!

The One was my first book by John Marrs and it was five stars. I can't wait to hear what you think!

I really enjoy your videos! I hope you enjoy reading The One by John Marrs. I'm currently reading it and it's a good solid read. 👑
Oh my god I cannot wait for you to read a long way!!😊
So excited to hear how this TBR goes! 👑
What a stack! YOU CAN DO IT!
👑Syd.
Should I read children of blood and bone on the Bali trip tooo?!? Love this and excited to ask in person how Way of Kings is going lol
YES YOU SHOULD!! Its so fun
Also, hopefully I’ll have read it by then😅😅😅
love your videos :)
It might make it easier to aim to read two chapters a day in Way of kings- makes it feel much less overwhelming

@@SydBookWorrom hahahahaha WE’LL SEE 😂 I really hope you love it once you do end up reading it because imagine all this and you don’t 😭
Syd, It's apparent that you don't actually want to read The Way of Kings why not just unhaul it and move on.
I actually really do. But I’ve been working hard on other videos for y’all that required me to read other books first.
