  • On Thursday, June 13, 2024, a dream came true for State Fire Marshal Project Coordinator Ken Klouda when he had the opportunity to participate in Honor Flight Columbus Mission #133.
Honor Flight Columbus is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2005 that celebrates all the American veterans. They raise funds to be able to honor America’s senior veterans with a trip to Washington D.C. to visit the nation’s memorials as a thoughtful gesture to thank them for the time that they’ve spent in the military. This year Honor Flight Columbus will have flown their 10,000th veteran.
Both of Ken’s grandfathers were veterans, which is where his passion for volunteering for Honor Flight Columbus comes from, but this opportunity was a long time coming.
