You changed this room from an adolescent hovel into a nice grown-up livingroom. Real curtains instead of blankets on the windows. All the children's toys stored away in bins instead of piled up in front of the TV. And the whole place looked vacuumed and clean after all your efforts. Nice job.

You are a beautiful soul. I bet if you never watch those shows from back in the day, design on a dime or while you were out. You would definitely be a binge watcher. You make it look easy but you have so many things going on at the same time I know it’s exhausting and the funnest part is decorating and putting things in order. What you do is so beyond on just decorating. And it shows in your voice and your excitement when you’re shopping for a project that you love this !!!!God bless you for all your efforts may everything your hands touch be blessed

Excellent job and decor. Made it look so much bigger and brighter. Made a huge impact with very little money. Popped her sofa and love seat too. I know she enjoyed it. Shows people with a few pieces here and there and some paint, curtains, pillows and a throw it changes a room. Buy one thing a month or payday. Thats what I did when I was young. also, if someone offered something free I was not too proud to look at it and paint or redo it. We had little money when we first got married. I love the song it alright to be little bitty, and also liven on love for us it was the case. Love was enough. Peace!

What a nice in-law you are. The room looks so nice, the cubes and baskets make a huge difference in the 'look' of clutter. When it is just everyday items that are needed. The curtains are like the cherry on top-they finish off the room! Good prices and elbow grease!🙂

The tv would have look so good on a floating shelf in that nook with a natural wood stain and basket of blankets underneath. Love how everything turn out!
A rug to anchor the space and an upholstered storage bench for extra seating/storage. Add a large tray to serve as a coffee table or game table. More color would be great, too!

Brings back old times, seeing the living room. I remember many times you decorating and the beautiful brick work you did on the book shelves. You brought it back to gorgeous again. I am sure your Sister in Law loved it as well. So pretty.
It's so hard to redecorate on a tight budget like mine. I taught myself carpentry and re-did an entire room - ceiling tiles, crown molding, chair rail, beadboard, baseboards, etc. It was the FIRST time I've ever touched an electric tool. I did all the work, bought all the tools, except a great nail/staple gun my hubs bought me for my birthday - And I bought all the building materials. It took months because I could only afford so much each month. Wish i could post before and after pics! One thing's for sure, organization is an automatic face lift to a room. You did a great job! I just started on my kitchen 😂

I love so many things about your video. First you didn’t make us sit thru slow boring parts where it wasn’t necessary as so many others do on theirs. Your honesty and explanations are short and concise. But most of all that it was an older motile home that so many of us live in. We don’t all live in the newer type homes some do. Also that you furnished things they already had and went to thrift stores for what you needed to fill it out where needed. I’ve done this so many times for myself and for others and had so much fun and loved how excited people were. Thank you for being real.

Hello from central Nebraska. I'm almost 72 mom of 5, grandmother of 13, two of which are in Heaven. I love your positive and humble attitude. Take care, hope those new pillows work. Our wonderful local doctor told my husband to change ours to hypoallergenic to help with stuffiness etc.

I remember those days of using blankets and sheets for curtains! The after is amazing! The room is so much brighter and appears larger by just switching out the old tv stand with the cubicle and adding the curtains! Then adding the end table and lamp was perfect! And you are right, taming the “stuff” in baskets also made a huge difference! And I love your family values- loving and doing for your family is impactful for you and them!
