It just exists deep inside in a person's soul. It's person's condition. Usually it's related to missing something or when something really important is lost (it may refer to sense of life as well too). It can also mean that something happened and changed a lot in person's life or when person understood something which changed his/her life. There're lots of different aspects of this word and occasions in which this takes place. Everyone has his/her own life "polozhenie".
