Kinda like Mega Man X1 style, right? I love bosses reactions for Chill Penguin, Spark Mandrill or even Armored Armadillo's weakness reactions even the ones got cut with the Boomerang Cutter.

All the abilities look great but I feel like his DPS is kind of out of control like it was in x5-x6. Seems like you can pretty easily steam roll bosses. Easy solution would be lowering the the damage a bit or giving the bosses more I-frames. Other than that I think it looks fantastic.
Zero was always broken, but yeah i think they need to nerf him a little bit now. At least make normal/red zero do less damage, so it can be more challenging. Black zero could be OP if you want
Any character has the potential to be broken if you know know how to play them. In X4 his damage output was reasonable with bosses (Excluding hyperslashing). I'm looking for a scenario where you can't stand still and spam slash a boss while eating damage with no upgrades/heat tanks and still win. But I just appreciate we even have an option to play zero in the near future.
also i really love bamboo pandaemonium's ultimate, instead of a single forward charge that insta-kills a hunter, its a multi-strike that forces repeated dodging.
I still think this needs more visual effects for hitting the enemies, like the cut lines that appear on screen on the other games and, most importantly, a tiny bit of hitstop
I hope they add the Z-buster too. I remember Zero's triple attack from Megaman X2. He never get that power again. Even in X3 they took away the sword beam. In MMX dive in Kid Zero animation he makes the triple attack, but then the character doesn't have the ability... Now my hoppe is all on you X8 Demake!
Pros: Very much like that Raikousen comes out faster - I could never actually land it on Avalanche Yeti in original X8. Overall, the animations look clean, and there's never anything to complain about if spinzero is available. Cons: I know that they might be going for more of a simplistic style or are limited by the medium, but I still really do not like Hyouryuushou here. Also, Juuhazan coming out so fast kinda reduces the impact - it's _supposed_ to be a slow and weighty attack. That one is far less of a complaint than Hyouryuushou though.
I would love to help test this. Zero is my favorite video game character of all times and ive played the x series since my youth. if you want help testing this let me know id love to give some insight
I personally believe that the weapons for Axl are very good but with Zero I think there's something missing. I don't know if you are getting support from the author of the fan game but he made an awesome job making the special weapons from the mavericks to X in a 100% better for any use and even any of them work really good. You can get advice with him or maybe with us the fans but it's my personal opinion because right now what I see seems awesome but maybe making It more useful and impressive would be lovely to play with my 3 Maverick Hunters
Axl's weapons are a disaster in the current state. Blast Launcher and Flame Burner are pretty much the only ones worth using if it's not a Plasma Gun collectible. Ray Gun and Gatling Ice shouldn't be doing such little damage that the regular bats require multiple shots to go down with, Spiral Magnum and Plasma Gun should do more damage if they're gonna have limitations (no rapid fire and short range), and Dark Arrow is just a lacking version of X's move in this (yes I know the move was originally Axl's). Axl's weapons need VERY heavy rebalancing going forward if they don't the want the character to just use Blast Launcher and Giga Crush everywhere since little else works.
@JahovasFitness That's something that I Agree, I don't really remember so much about playing the original X8 for the PS2 and a little from the legacy collection but in fact only the game consisted on using Axl cause for the damage and how broken were the weapons, there's still work to do on the mods for the Demake or even if Allyson Da Paz wants to make an effort on helping but what I love it's seeing that my favorite game from the PS2 adding other games too is making the community together and it's awesome and disgusting that Capcom don't make an effort and us as a community make things like this. I will only wait until these mods get so much better or even so if the modders leave like that well it's ok, it's not like it's their obligation to work on something you are not getting paid
Any plans on implementing Zero's X8 weapons like the Knuckle, Hammer, Fan, etc? (Feel like placing these in place of the Dr. Light Capsules might be the way to go tbh)
All of Zero's seem to come out faster than in the original, which is awesome, but Enkoujin is the only one that looks a bit underwhelming compared to the rest, it's basically Quake Blazer from X5 without the Air Mobility and Projectiles. But what if it was replaced by the Dive Kick from the Z-Knuckle?
They really should add co-op mode. Imagine Sigma Palace where whoever defeat Vile or deal last damage can proceed and the other stuck behind until 1/4 of Sigma health is dealt that the other player return.

Enemies need i-frames after the last hit that is supposed to deal way more damage. I think there was a game where zero also had slightly lower defense, meaning that he was a glass canon, but still, i-frames on bosses would be nice.
They all look good (other than Hyouryuushou, which doesn't keep the original spinning motion). I would prefer Zero to keep the straight Saber he had in X6 onwards, though, for continuity's sake, so while the first 2 slashes are the same (albeit with a straight blade), the third one would go upwards.
It's a sabre upgrade from trilobyte. Visually it changes the color of the sabre to light brown. Normal attacks repel enemy bullets. And deals increased damage to manowar.
It will be cool if they buff the bosses health bar like in the mmz series, like, zero is broken, and balance him along the other main characters is a pain in the ass, so one of the solutions would be buff the health bar of the bosses
ehh to think of it, X8 bosses ultimates made them invincible throughout the duration, so you cannot smoke them that easily and instead you are forced to survive thru the entire ulti. but then again this is still WIP so its not much of a problem right now. i didnt know tenshouha can interrupt ulti, or it alrd existed in X8, or is specially added in X8 demake.
Tenshouha is weak in X8 because it doesn’t grant zero invincibility and lack of AOE…. All Tenshouha did is just on your top. Even X7 Zero Giga Attack is a lot better than X8..
I haven't play the demake release because i cannot tolerate how weak X is and more because i prefer to play as Zero always. I wish you continue the development of Zero and add him all his skills he got in past games (such as every X4 moveset) By the way, could you please add his X4 saber slash cancel?, that would be so insanely good.
I just realized, does Tenshouha cost anything to do or is it free now? Because I can see that being balanced on the fact that it's not a full screen nuke unlike Zero's other giga attacks. Otherwise I think giving it like a 3-5 second cooldown might be the best way to prevent spamming.
Its his giga attack in X8, it did use weapon energy and thus functions like a giga attack you can generate guage by taking damage or of course getting weapon energy. Granted this is only a beta build from what the vid states so its not quite there yet I am guessing.

In OG X8 he never uses the Z Buster. In fact thats been an on going thing. In some games he has the buster and some he doesn't. And also the slashes and command techs is based on his X4 sprite set, but modified with his X3 sprite sheet from what I can tell cause this game is the 16bit style. Though in X3 he did have a full functional buster similar to X's buster being able to fire standard yellow shots and be chargeable in the case of X3 he had 5 levels of charge cause in order to use the z saber required to charge it and it was one strong slash. Sorry I am big nerd and not the author, but this is all in observation.
Not really, the one thing that needs to go is the regen. Zero has always been the glass cannon character. Meaning he he can dish out damage ,but cannot takes hit very well. He is also the most mobile meaning you can't just face tank everything, but really it amounts to understanding enemy movement and when to punish.

There actually are mods for X2 and X3 that give you the triple slash and let you play as Zero. They're really fun.

Earthrock Trilobyte's weapon ability, Zero has that yellow/orange-ish saber permanent that deflects incoming energy balls like in the original X8.
