Thank you for all the book recommendations. I graduated with an economics degree so I really appreciate that.

1. Career & Family by Claudia Goldin
2. The Streets of Gold by Ran Abramitzky and Leah Boustan
3. Why We Fight: The Roots of War and the Paths to Peace by Chris Blattman
4. The Originals of Political Power by Francis Fukuyama
5. Gambling on Development by Stefan Dercon
6. Mistborn Series by Brandon Sanderson.
The Status Game by Will Storr was another book recommended.
I’m an Econ undergrad applying for RA TA stuff. This guy got some real inspiring stuff and I felt so lucky to be passion about economics
Glad you came back!!!
Absolutely would LOVE to hear more about development economics. Definitely adding these to the reading list.
Thanks for this video and overall content, really appreciate it ❤️
Every time that I watch you, I grow up in terms of value added. Thank you sir!
Excited to pick up the status game, and always happy to see brando sando make the list!
I am freelance researcher in Zambia, not too old in the field though. I want to do game theory of the Zambian political environment. I hope to be successful
book recommendation videos are my favorite
Would love to see you chat to Stefan Dercon and dig into randomista vs. broad-based policy (e.g. Pritchett) approaches to development!
I would like to know more about agriculture economics
Yess more development econ please
What moments do you use to read these kind of books? I mostly do it at night, but I fell asleep so fast and getting further in a book gets so hard at times
Claudia Goldin just won the Nobel Prize in Economics! Truly eye-opening book!
I'm have a degree in English/Writing but am transitioning into a Public Administration/Data Analysis Masters and these books seem incredibly useful! Thank you!
In another video of yours you implied that reading Smith's Wealth of Nations would be a waste of time. I challenge you to defy that prejudice against classical works in Economics. Your channel would really profit from studying more classical books or older books on Economics. You might even find them more exciting than the modern literature on Economics.
Review Ray Dalio's Books. I think they are best
Yes but these books are self help, they dont really help at learning economics
That's an interesting take. Four of them are written by top economists about the latest research in their fields.
