Hi Tina, I am finally catching up on all your videos.. we just came off a level 1 evacuation alert due to wildfires. Although the wildfires are still burning, the firefighters have created a fireline and thankfully prevented it from spreading any closer to us. I can't tell you how much I have missed your videos and it is good to settle down and hear your voice again and just enjoy crafting. Wonderful news about your daughter being back in school and that you have some time now. As well, good to hear that you have two new design team members! Love the collage you are making, it is just so beautiful with such pretty colors.
Oh Angela what a worrying time for you, I am so glad that you have been taken off the evacuation alert now. Thank goodness that the firefighters have managed to create a fire line to stop the fires spreading further. Thank you so much for your kindness, I am really pleased to be able to bring a little bit of light relief to you after such chaos, and even more thrilled that you can just relax and enjoy crafting again. My daughter is loving being back at school, she was really bored towards the end of the time off. Yes I am so excited about Yvonne and Pramita joining us, I can’t believe how lucky I am to be working with such talented ladies x
I was impressed with the fact that your little girl did such a big bike ride, what a little beauty ( sorry that’s an Australian expression) . Our kids don’t go back to school for at least another 4 weeks. I was talking to a mum of 4 yesterday and she was saying that the little ones desperately need the social interaction, whereas the eldest boy misses that as well it’s the motivation to go back to a school routine and formal learning that will be the challenge. My besties son is 15 and dyslexic and has lost interest in school altogether. Such a shame. Sometimes when we don’t have children we forget the troubles the children are having and the impact this will all have. Hugs to you all, stay safe. Thanks Tina.💕💕💕💕💕
Yes it’s probably had more of an impact on the kids than we realise. Like your friend my daughter being only little still couldn’t wait to return to school and she’s thrilled to be back. My son who is 14 like your other friend’s son is not enjoying the rigid formality of the day now he is back. Being back in some sort of routine though I think is good for everyone, let’s just hope it’s the right thing with regards to the virus x
Hi Tina, Your collage pages are looking Awesome! Looking forward to part 2! LOVE your work! Hoping all is well in your part of the world and congrats on your 2 new team members, Amazing and talented crafters! Take Care X
Oh thank you so much Kylie. Yes I am so thrilled to have two more such talented ladies joining us, it’s fantastic. Hope you and yours are safe and well also x
Wonderful! Hello from Western Canada! It is warm and sunny and a perfect day for crafting. It has been many years since my children had a first day back to school but well I remember the feeling. Bittersweet in so many ways. This year it is my youngest grandchild heading off to Senior High! Still crafting after all these years. Thank you Tina for the inspiration and visit. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Love all your videos mass makes, tidy friday and all your inspiration but mainly love the way you come across as someone who genuinely cares about your subscribers. It a pleasure to watch you on a daily basis it really is....Big hugs x x x
Evening Tina, I've never done a collage yet but definitely going to do one real soon as well as a fabric snippet, collage snippet, lace snippet etc. I've watched alot if not most of your videos and others how to make so many things. I'm still just starting out. Did make a batch of hidden paperclips and some paperbeads, so much fun. ❤
Your collagen is beautiful! I totally get back to school. There's long break of having these kiddos home can be very exhausting. I am so excited to have a day without kids. now if I could only send my husband somewhere for the day. Then I can have the house to myself. I guess one step at a time.
Love your collages!!! I’ve never tried collages, I’ll have to give it a try soon. Your daughter is just the sweetest thing!!! Don’t feel bad, you’re a great mom! I remember my friends telling me “I can’t wait for school to start. My kids are driving me crazy!!!” Lol! I always used to laugh bc I was complete opposite and never wanted my kids to go back to school. Lol. We’ve all been there needing a break from our kids though😉 xxx
Thank you Geena, I haven’t ever been pleased to see them go back before, but I guess this was just such a long time! Yes try collaging, it’s really fun x
I am starting a journal for a swap using you free digital kit and butterflies. I will have build up my stash first before I put it together. We are making plans for all 4 of us to go camping for 2 days. I will be making cards and using up my scraps.❤❤❤
Oh how lovely that you are going to be able to get away for a couple of nights. I love that you are already looking forward to the things you will be crafting whilst you are there. Have fun x
Great job on three pieces of collaging! Give yourself a pat on the back; your work looks a lot more cohesive than you think it does. As for being thankful your daughter is back in school, I remember feeling that way every year when the first day of school came around. In so many ways the summer was too short but it was also too long in other ways LOL. You are feeling exactly the same way many other parents are feeling ♥️
Tina, I love to watch you make collage pages. You inspired me to begin a glue book. By the way, Death Valley is in California! I have a friend who lives in that area (but not in Death Valley) and it was 121 F there all last week. Combine that with the terrible wild fires and I have stopped complaining about 85F. I live in Buffalo NY which is about 20 miles south of Niagara Falls. ❤️
Oh my gosh, I literally can’t imagine how temperatures of that level must feel. Awful I imagine. Yes 85 is as hot as I like it, but really about 75 is preferable, lol x
I remember those juggling times, it’s definitely bittersweet when they go back to school ! and to think you were wondering not so long ago if you should have a design team 😁 now look at that list xx
There is a fine line between hoarding and having a plethora of supplies. Getting rid of stuff you will longer use is the issue, and you are so clever and artistic that you see possibilities beyond where most of us will. Maybe for some of the harder to let go items you keep enough for a few makings and let the rest go to the students or create some kits for give always or even sell them in your Etsy shop.
I think collage is one of those things that sometimes you love the look of and sometimes I am not happy with how it turns out, sometimes I feel it’s too cluttered. So long as you have fun though, and you can always cover up any bits you’re not happy with x
Hi Tina 👋🏻 You are a such patient person because I would have slapped the glue on the wall long ago!!!! 😎😎😎😂😂😂 Great job and nice collaging 👍🏻👍🏻 I can remember that Rachel said in a video about collaging that it's easier to put on first the big pieces of paper and then the little ones...perhaps you might struggle much less!?!?!? Really nice collage pages Tina😁... I haven't done any yet... Been so busy myself lately and just trying to get my new craft space put together.. it's endless.. lol. When my glue starts acting up I take the lid and run under hot water to clean it out...Have a wonderful day and I will see you at our next tea time 🤗
These collage pages look wonderful. I enjoy collage although I’m not happy with some of my “things” I think I have been making my pieces too small. I used to like making story collages where I used magazine pictures and sentiments. I’ve just finished reading all the Game of Throne books and yes, I’m gutted! I have lived in fantasy land for several weeks and I hate the tv adaptation. I guess I’ll have to wait for the author to finish the last book. I’m going to read them again at the end of the year but I have a bulging kindle waiting for me! Thank you from me as well for being with us through this pandemic. Lifesavers! 🥰
Oh thank you so much for your kindness. I too don’t find collaging very easy, bigger pieces are definitely a bit easier though. Just play around and experiment. I couldn’t get into Game of Thrones on TV either, I know it was so popular but it was not my cup of tea. Have you read the Hunger Games books, they are also brilliant? I did love the film adaptation of those as well x
Yay!! More collages!! It’s not my easiest thing to do...(that matchy matchy thing!🤣). But I love doing them! Can’t wait to see what you create with these!!❤️
I do have a tip about collage that may help, though I’m also no expert. I find it easier to start with the largest paper pieces first...not worrying about covering every spot. Just look for a balance as you do now (same/similar patterns or colors spread out nicely on the page). Then after you have covered about half the page or more (depending on how large your largest pieces were and how many you used), then you start filling blank spots, tearing pieces to the size needed, or covering parts of larger pieces. Last, you end up with just some small spots to cover with your smallest pieces. In my opinion, collating largest to smallest helps to avoid those situations where I have an awkward spread and don’t know how to continue.
@@shabbydabbydoodah hi Tina I've been back at work 3 weeks now this is my 4th and eleanor went back to school last Thursday so we are slowly getting back into normal routine which I'm loving as like you I can now just work in my craft room through the day and then be available to my family when they are home 💐
Your pages are very pretty, you said you struggle with collaging lol 😂 I don’t see that at all, I’m the one who struggles!! Time to get the scraps out & practice on book pages 🤷🏽♀️. Happy your daughter is back in school and you have free time to get things done. Thanks for sharing 🤗😊
Hi Tina, I love doing collage pages , but they take me forever to do. I guess I think about it too much. You make it look so easy. These are so pretty. Yaay, I love Yvonne’s channel. Her video on making a hard cover was the very first junk journal related video I ever watched. And I still make my hard covers that way. Haha, my dream for the future is to be on YOUR design team. Even though I don’t even have a RUclips channel yet 😂. Someday though. I, too, was wondering where you were yesterday morning. I did watch for your video all day till it showed up. I knew you wouldn’t let us down 😊😊. Hugs 🤗.
Oh thank you so much Linda, I don’t find collaging comes naturally either. Just go for it and do some videos, what have you got to loose? So sorry about Sunday, thank you for holding out for me x
Yes you are right. There are tremendous temperature. Like 119 degrees. Terrible wild fires out west. California in general has tons fires. Los Angelos has like 9 fires alone. They have tent camp sites for homeless all over the state and the fires are tremendous and I believe some were started by accident by these tent people.
It’s terrible isn’t it? I can’t imagine such temperatures. The fires are just awful, I see them on the news occasionally, my heart really goes out to those poor souls who loose their homes because of them. X
Hi Tina, I love watching you craft and listening to you chat about stuff especially as you are in England. I'm from Somerset in England but have lived overseas for 27 years now so you always make me feel a little closer to home. Love your work and you inspire me to go to my desk and play. You mentioned design teams...what does that entail when someone is on your design team? Sorry for being thick. ☺💕
Oh thank you so much, I am thrilled to bring a bit of home back to you. Somerset is really beautiful, we had a lovely day at Lulworth Cove a couple of weeks ago. The lovely ladies who are part of Design Teams create projects every so often using products from a particular designer or shop and showcase it on their social media. X
Yes!!! Death Valley reached 130 degrees. It's now recorded as the hottest place on Earth! That was a few weeks ago. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yesterday 9/7/20 it reached 113° in Las Vegas. Today 9/8/20 it's 80 degrees, drastic difference in just 2 days. The wind gust today are at 50 mph.
lol I like you loved having the children home during school holidays but oh the joy when they went back haha, its hard work sometimes to keep them occupied and then theres the guilt lol...but must have been especially bad for you during lockdown but you have always sounded upbeat ...and yes the internet never fails to amaze me too oh and nudge nudge link link to your new design team members please haha x
Oh thank you so much for your understanding in the kids going back to school. It feels good to have a but of breathing space doesn’t it? Lol. I have set up the links now, thanks for nudging me x
Thanks Tina I love your daughters book today I was telling my grandchildren about it and they were very impressed- I think I will have to get working. I have another question, RUclips’s have stopped alerting us when new videos go up and I’m missing them. Do you know of a any other way we Can be alerted. Thanks ruth
Thank you. With regards to the notifications, I am so sorry but it seems to be a change that RUclips has made which is frustrating. We don’t have any way to change this as creators I’m afraid x
@@shabbydabbydoodah No such luck. I contacted Netflix and right now it's not available in my region. They had me go to a link and send it as a suggested show. So, I guess I'll have to wait and see. :-(
Hello from Alberta, Canada. 2 a.m. here - I'm a bit of a nighthawk! Thanks for this, Tina. I need all the help I can get when it comes to collaging and you actually make it look possible. I'll also have to check out your masterboard video. Have you seen Nik the Booksmith's Frankenpages? Really interesting.
Donna Swisher I feel the same way. I did a couple pages awhile back and it looked rubbish to me but then I decided to tear out a bit here and there and being teased in different pieces it wasn’t that bad. So this will be a good exercise for me, too. Thanks Tina!
I used paper from Artzology, and Daisys Doilies, both shops are linked in the video description, and also my new Autumn 2020 papers which is from my shop x
Hey we all understood the times called for different outlooks. Moms do feel bad to put the children in a mode of quiet all the time and we should understand the situation they will want your attention especially at the younger years.
Yes you are right Sherry, it was a strange time and them going back to school feels bittersweet as another lady said. However, it does feel GREAT to have some breathing space. She also has loved her first couple of days back, so that’s been great too x
Curious as to what you do with your your little girl while watching the graphic movies that you suggested? I’m not sure how to handle that with my kids.
We watch them after she goes to bed. Normally after 9pm. I have to confess that she has often been on her tablet in her room when I go and check on her! Much stricter this week though now she’s back at school. Oh and on the nights that she keeps getting up and coming in, I just pause it and have to keep sending her back to bed! Lol 🤭 x
Definitely try watching The Alienist, Happy Valley, Somewhere Between, Fractured, La Mante (female serial killer...very good!), Harlen Coben's Safe, The Invisible Guardian (This is part 1 and there are 2 other parts The Legacy Bones and Offering To The Storm) and try Mindhunter. Xxx
@@deborahsmith5036 Welcome hunny! Only watch if you like crime...lol! Personally, I love it...lol. Happy Valley was the first time I was screaming and yelling at the TV!! Lol
My granddaughter is going back too. But I am in USA. I am scared to death! But on the other hand, she hasn't done well at home. She isolated in her room. So I am stuck in the middle. I see numbers of Covid going up in school openings. she is in 6th grade. But I have health issues. So , hmmmmmm.....
It’s a worrying time isn’t it? I just pray that it all pans out ok. Like you I worry (although it does feel good to have a bit of breathing space) but then I think they really need to be with their friends and get the social interaction. Also of course the learning, but I almost feel like the social thing is actually more vital. I understand your worries though as you have health issues, it’s very scary. Take care x
I went to her website and the images are no longer free or at least I didn't see the free part on the images 😪 The TV Show did you say The Fall? I don't think that he was the perfect Christian. After reading the books, I expected A I suppose a really buff Sexy Man. It's just what I thought. I Am glad that you are having Fall type weather it's still 90* with 79% Humidity. I got to actually got in a car and went somewhere!! The only time I get outside is to water my plants in the evening. I do hope that your daughter wears her mask and uses hand sanitizer. One child who went to school here had it, and infected 40 people in the school.
Yes the Fall, it’s really good. I hadn’t read the books, so I didn’t really have any expectations 🙃. He is definitely a versatile actor though. So pleased that you have managed to get out a bit, wow that heat sounds awful! Take care of yourself x

Oh thank you so much, all tips are greatly appreciated. x
yay so glad youve given the autumn fall a refresh im going to be using that kit again this year :) great video enjoyed hearing about your tales :)
Yay, thank you Tania. Hope life is getting back to normal in your household too x
@@shabbydabbydoodah hi Tina
I've been back at work 3 weeks now this is my 4th and eleanor went back to school last Thursday so we are slowly getting back into normal routine which I'm loving as like you I can now just work in my craft room through the day and then be available to my family when they are home 💐
Happy playing April x
Wow, crazy weather and CRAZY wind speeds! Take care x
lol I like you loved having the children home during school holidays but oh the joy when they went back haha, its hard work sometimes to keep them occupied and then theres the guilt lol...but must have been especially bad for you during lockdown but you have always sounded upbeat ...and yes the internet never fails to amaze me too oh and nudge nudge link link to your new design team members please haha x
Oh thank you so much for your understanding in the kids going back to school. It feels good to have a but of breathing space doesn’t it? Lol. I have set up the links now, thanks for nudging me x
My children went to school for the first time since March today. Interesting we are on the same timetable in the US ?
Oh we must be, I thought we were the last ones to go back x
Thanks Tina I love your daughters book today I was telling my grandchildren about it and they were very impressed- I think I will have to get working. I have another question, RUclips’s have stopped alerting us when new videos go up and I’m missing them. Do you know of a any other way we Can be alerted. Thanks ruth
Thank you. With regards to the notifications, I am so sorry but it seems to be a change that RUclips has made which is frustrating. We don’t have any way to change this as creators I’m afraid x
Your pages are lovely! The Fall is AMAZING! YIKES! It's no longer on my Netflix! UGH! :-(
Oh no, I hope you managed to finish the Fall before it disappeared x
@@shabbydabbydoodah No such luck. I contacted Netflix and right now it's not available in my region. They had me go to a link and send it as a suggested show. So, I guess I'll have to wait and see. :-(
Hello from Alberta, Canada. 2 a.m. here - I'm a bit of a nighthawk! Thanks for this, Tina. I need all the help I can get when it comes to collaging and you actually make it look possible. I'll also have to check out your masterboard video. Have you seen Nik the Booksmith's Frankenpages? Really interesting.
Yes, give it a go, it doesn’t come naturally to me either. It is relaxing and fun though. I loved Nic the Booksmiths Frankin Pages x
You make this look so easy. But when I try it mine never look good. I enjoy doing it though so maybe I'll improve with practice 😏.
It doesn’t come naturally to me either, but persevere, as it is a fun way to use paper x
Donna Swisher I feel the same way. I did a couple pages awhile back and it looked rubbish to me but then I decided to tear out a bit here and there and being teased in different pieces it wasn’t that bad. So this will be a good exercise for me, too. Thanks Tina!
Where did you get the gorgeous papers
I used paper from Artzology, and Daisys Doilies, both shops are linked in the video description, and also my new Autumn 2020 papers which is from my shop x
Hey we all understood the times called for different outlooks. Moms do feel bad to put the children in a mode of quiet all the time and we should understand the situation they will want your attention especially at the younger years.
Yes you are right Sherry, it was a strange time and them going back to school feels bittersweet as another lady said. However, it does feel GREAT to have some breathing space. She also has loved her first couple of days back, so that’s been great too x
yes. That is the ONLY downside to those collage scrapbooks- not wanting to use them!!!!!! :)
Lol, definitely x
para que nos puede ser bir y vender? puede ser negocio esto? dame ideas gracias
Tina
I can't seem to find glue book favourites 5 on you Web site Tracy x
I had mistakenly list them as number 4, they are listed as set 5 now x
Xxx
Wow, what a list, and I don’t think we’ve watched any of those, thank you x
@@shabbydabbydoodah all thriller/police type ones. I'm a bit of a fan of that type!
Thanks Coastal Crafter, I’ve made a note of these. Always happy to get watching recommendations.👏👍🏻from Australia.
@@deborahsmith5036 Welcome hunny! Only watch if you like crime...lol! Personally, I love it...lol. Happy Valley was the first time I was screaming and yelling at the TV!! Lol
Coastal Crafter I wrote them down and we’ll work through them. Thanks 💐💐💐💐
If you are so inclined I would love to buy some collage only pages from you. Ones not previously bundled into any kits.
Oh thank you so much Angel, if you message me at my shop with what you would like? I can see what I can do x
Here in Ohio tonight at my home at 7:15 pm it’s 90 degrees.
That’s awful, lol x
🙂🌞🌸🇨🇦
I think I've realized that I make my collaging pieces too small. Making the torn pieces bigger looks much better.
I sometimes do that too x
Hehe...you know we don’t HAVE to watch the videos the day you post them, right? 😛
Lol, yes sorry x
From a position of ignorance, what is a design team?
No worries, a Design Team uses products from a designer/shop and then showcases what they create via social media x
Take care x
I went to her website and the images are no longer free or at least I didn't see the free part on the images 😪
The TV Show did you say The Fall?
You sound like a “normal mom”. Lol
Why not make a copy of the pages in your collage books. Than you can use them.
Their not all my papers unfortunately so I can’t 😕, but great idea if you are just making things for fun and not selling them x
