I just tuck my small & medium bags beside me on the seat, and they never make a fuss about it. Maybe they don't notice it, because I always have a window seat. So, I tuck them on that side.

As a normal human being, I don’t think I’ll ever understand HOW people can bring designer bags or suitcases to their flight. You don’t know WHAT might harm it, touch it, or scratch it.
Always sit in first or business with designer luggages (or better still stop buying them) took one once in normal and everyone just looked at me like tf she thinks she is 😂
I do this for my backpack under the seat. I dont trust the floor and how well they clean. Keeps the backpack germ free and not contaminate my back when i wear it
It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on the craftsmen and quality inspection. My family and I have purchased D U P B A G Y bags over the past three years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
I use a bag that goes across my chest and I use it as a pillow. I don't put it under the seat. Don't put it in the overhead because I fall asleep in motorized vehicles. Plane train bus etc unless I'm the driver. I need use my purse as something to support my head or I'll end up biting my tongue. Yeah ever since I was a kid I've used my tongue as a spacer between my teeth. If I fall really really asleep leaning forward too far I end up biting my tongue so that I can wake up This not falling off of my school desk off a bench etc.. It's A safety mechanism I guess. The only time they have you put the purse down is if there is an emergency which I've never been on a flight where there was.
I once saw a passenger at the boarding gate and was carrying designer bags and luggage. She had too much hand carry and was required to check in her designer luggage. Her choice was either check in the luggage or miss the flight. I felt sorry for her but at the same time I felt I shouldn't as she was carrying way too much hand carries.
Reminds me of the time my husband went on a trip with a friend to Dawson Canada He won some money gambling He never does gamble but the friend needs to use the restroom and somehow my husband playing the roulette for him ended up winning the guy like over $1,000. The guy was shocked when he got back and saw what had happened so he gave my husband a couple hundred dollars while they were in an antique store my husband saw something that would match a whole bunch of pots and pans that match a antique stove we have. It was a rare double boiler with all the pieces He bought it It was put into a paper bag and they came all the way back to Juneau Alaska to finish the trip They cleaned out the truck Guess what happened His stupid friend threw away that expensive rare find because it was in a paper bag yep it ended up in the trash My poor husband was heartbroken not only did he lose his money but he didn't get to give his wife the only gift he bought her from the whole trip because he was flying out bad afternoon It was no way to grab anything else It wasn't going to buy her some piece of crap from the airport he's not like that it has to be something special that you just wouldn't find anywhere else. Poor guy.
The one thing I HATE about putting small bags inside the overhead storage is other passengers & FA tend to push it far way back or pressed to the side just to put in a new luggage that is often bigger withou thinking that something inside the bag can be crushed/damaged.
That struggle of placing our designer bag under the seat is real..I faced it recently after a lil damage😢 and in the return trip I brought another bag just for this purpose 😄

Expensive/luxury items taken outside the safety of the home are a hassle. They draw the wrong kind of attention more often than not, you’re always worrying about soiling them, losing them, or theft. People flashing that kind of stuff in public are only showing they had a little bit of a disposable income at one point in the past.
