  • North Carolina's Pisgah National Forest is home to countless beautiful waterfalls. However, one in particular, Sliding Rock, is a world-famous 60-foot natural water slide that is known to get super crowded during the summer. We finally got a chance to test out this awesome waterfall slip-n-slide and had it all to ourselves on one of the last days of Winter.

    Those fish seem really amazed at the 2 cheerful 4-limbed creatures plunging down at high speeds into their backyard!

    I love your videos. Off topic, but have you done the jump off the bridge at Mostar, in Bosnia? This seems like something that would be perfect for your channel. Another one is to recreate a jump off thecliffs in Acapulco, which were popular when I was growing up in the 70s. I imagine that one might be more technical, but Id bet that you could pull it off.

      Thanks. The only old bridge I've jumped off of was in Ticino, Switzerland. Those other two seem pretty cool though

    tourists have overrun and nearly ruined all my favorite childhood places. dupont forest ( my dad worked at dupont so knew it when it was still private property) the green river and big bradley where i live in saluda nc.(youd think after the 15th or 25th death they would learn but...not so much ) and places like sliding rock in pisgah ( where i lived at the base of mt pisgah ) the main reason sliding rock was such a good "sliding rock" was that in the summer the algea would grow just under the water on the of the rock and make it slippery, now with the nsane masses of ppl constantly going down it doesnt have time to grow anymore . the trout there gather at the bottom because they have learned over generations that a big splash means a human has knocked loose algea to eat otw down. ..

    Is this place still open for the public today July 2023? Just put Pisgah National Park on the gps and it takes you to that area?

    • @JesseStLouis
      @JesseStLouis  Год назад +1

      If you type in Sliding Rock to the GPS it should take you there. Open as far as I know but you will have to pay to park.
