I remember asking Peter what was his favourite remix of his when I first met him in 2002. He listed three remixes in particular. Two of them were “Madonna - Nothing Really Matters (Club 69 Speed Mix)” and “Madonna - Impressive Instant (Peter Rauhofer’s Universal Club Mix)”. He was very proud of the work he had done for her at that point.
Peter made the remixes he did from this record into really great tracks. Quite an accomplishment considering American Life is arguably Madonna’s worst studio album. A testament to the genius that was the legendary Peter Rauhofer. You’re a part of that great gig in the sky. Thank you for being my biggest influence as a DJ, Producer and Remixer. Madonna, only in 2019 with "Madame X" managed, thanks to the genius of Mirwais, to return to this trend in an album. please be objective :)

So sad Peter Rauhofer is no longer with us. He was one of the best DJ’s to work with Madonna.
