Thank you so much, that was excellent. I received a number of bookplates from a contemporary author just the other day. He signed the bookplates, dated them and wrote a small quote from the books on each. Lovely keepsakes. I will simply slip them into his books. I won't stick them in.
Another well structured episode. Thank you again! I have an idea for another episode: Things you find in old books: dried plants, money, prayer cards, et cetera. I can provide you with some examples from my collection if you need them.
I love bookplates. I've bought a few packets to give away for gifts, and I just can't let them go. I've even thought of designing my own. This was so interesting. Thank you.
I collect old books and found one with a bookplate covering a marbled interior end page. I wanted to remove it so I can see the paper better, but I think I'll leave it now and just embrace the book's history!
Loved this! I was wondering if you’d be able to dive a little into the history of library cataloguing systems. I know now it’s all digital, but I’d love to understand how they used the card cataloguing system of the past.
i recently ordered a book written by my favourite wrestler, and shes signed it, but on a bookplate, any idea why she would sign a bookplate rather than just signing inside the cover which i figured was standered?
@@LV-ii7bi Your comment? Why did I make your comment? The comment in which you felt the burning need to criticize someone's appearance, which you thought would be a cool thing to say on a video made for educational purposes? Bud, I think you've got a fundamental disconnect about agency

I covered a little bit of that in my "Yucky Books" video, but there's enough material out there that it really could be its own video!
That tiny book is giving me life
This was so fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge 💙

This was so interesting! And so well presented!

That was awesome, thank you.

All good but at times your hair is distracting, and unnecessary to be honest. Cheers.
This comment is unnecessary to be honest. Cheers x
