I think Producers shot themselves in the foot. Producers knew that the audience wanted Silas back but if they used their head they could've brought him back for Breda's storyline, she finds out he killed Heidi and kills him for it, ending his Reign, Silver then kills her and then Bobby wants to become more like Silas killing Silver in the process. Would've worked better than bringing him back twice for a few stunts.
you know I actually think the build up to Silas's death was pretty great him telling the story while cutting to other characters with the music in the background I think works really well and his final F you to Mercedes his long time enemy by telling her smugly that he always wins I think is pretty great. I just think the Main problem is that Bobby then pushes him onto a Giant electric Chess Board lol its just too goofy and over the top to think about really this should have been something a bit more believable like on the roof of a high up building or something.

He should have been on the edge of a deep slope leading down into nothing but a pitch black abyss. The last bit of dialogue should have gone like: SILAS: "I ascended from the dark, to find nobody who could play the game better than me. Bobby, do you think you can play?" Bobby: "I dont play to lose, you found your way out of the well, now I'm sending you back." Silas: "Game over then"
