My ancestors came from County Antrim in Northern Ireland to Canada in 1845. I love all things Irish and hope I have the privilege of visiting there someday. Love your e-books.

The video was very special to me. Many thanks. I was inCobh in 1932 arriving for a visit when I was 4 years old . Back in the USA my family decided to go back in 1935 . We again left in 1938 to come back to Boston. I do have many memories of my sea journeys. I spend many happy hours with your books

The West's Awake is my new all time favorite Irish book, it is soooooo beautifully written and brings this part of Ireland and it's history alive. Thanks for the video tour and the incredibly heart warming story in The West's Awake. It is an incredible gift to write the perfect development of a tender love story, and this one is my all time favorite.

Haunting and as you say the sorrows of our ancestors seem to cling to the walls and ground of the places they left from. As for Queen Vic. ahem. Your hubby is very talented x

I had to get the Kleenex out! So wonderful to see my old home town, I lived right on the front with all the islands and Crosshaven in sight! Your Queenstown series is wonderful....I already pre=ordered number 3! Diarmuid is very talented, thank him for sharing!

I really did enjoy my visit to this centre a few years ago, I got such a feeling of all the ghosts and the excitement of setting off for a new country, the most poignant for me were the scenes in America where loved ones were waiting for the arrival of friends and families, and because of the sinking of the Titanic that didn't happen, I found this centre to be far more real than the Titanic experience in Belfast, it has a much more personal slant to it, maybe because this is where they sailed from. Thank you Jean for sharing this video.

Tell Diarmuid 'Well done". I love listening to him. You are truly an amazing writer and I loved the video. I don't think I have a drop of Irish in me but you have a way of making me feel just a little bit Irish and wishing it were so.

Almost expected to see The Smugglers Steps! Great, generous idea to launch in Cobh. Maithiu Dhiarmuid - haunting rendition of The West’s Awake. Irish naval ship Deirdre named for me - seriously the heritage of “place” threads through the Queenstown series. Wonder if Harp is modelled on Aoidhinn? Mmm? Hungry to devour 3rd book. Thanks for tour!
