Bowser's appearance here is SO badass. I always love when villains fight each other like that. This game's story may be by-the-book but it's very underrated -- and it felt much much more in-line with the Mario series than Super Paper Mario's story too. This was such a surprising and crazy moment, and it really made Bowser come across as a real threat, which I appreciated.

Should've made him appear after gloomtail to be honest. They should've made bowser have a meaningful role or just not include him at all. Doesn't help that Grodus is a pretty bad villian already and they go ahead and make him forgettable even more with bowser interrupting everything.
I like how in this game kammy koopa got the battle she deserved in the first one. I almost forgot she ever actually had a solid battle, aside from the silly one with twink.

When fighting Grodus, attack his staff, seems like I'm the only one who knows this, but the staff has an HP of 8, but upon destroying it, it really hinders his attacks and defenses, I suggest Power Lift, then Power Jump onto the Staff, then use Vivian's Fiery Jinx to take out the Grodus Xs, rinse and repeat, you'll be done in a jiffy it'll be laughably easy and you'll have enough energy left to pummel Bowser and Kammy, as for them, use Tornado Jump on Bowser, (after a Power Lift of course, and I hope you've got that spike badge on, you'll need it), if you have anything Icy use it, it may freeze them buying you time to heal, oh and Fiery Jinx or knock down Kami and use Gulp, but don't bother with stop watches or anything of the sort, those rarely work on enemies that strong.
Wow he went into battle I forgot to go to the Cook to get those dinners made 50 HP and 50 FP you need that and sometimes those Stars don't work when he put that protection thing that's why I didn't use them sometimes to beat him 🤔💯
7:04 I love how grodus doesn’t realize that one of his lens are cracked when he’s at low HP and when he’s dead his glass head whatever that glass is on grodus’s head is and his came wand whatever that is just cracks and he doesn’t even realize.
I remember playing this for the first time when I was like 11, I was soooo happy to have beaten Grodus, Then Bowser made his EPIC appearance and I was like ohh helll no PLEASE tell me I'm getting a break before I fight him. then he says his lines then comes at you, then the epic music Q's. one of the best fights ever imo XD
He is the only boss from paper mario that gave me so much trouble lol. I even defeated bowser after fighting grodus in a single try but huff n puff is true shit lol.

Well for your first question, on the Groudus and bowser fight back to back, make sure you can level up after Groudus, so youll have all your HP and FP refilled! It helps so much, and you also dont need to spare your FP on Groudus. For Groudu's minis, use a party member that has a move that can hit all enemys (Like Vivians Firery Jinx or bobberys bomb-omb blast.) . Stylish moves are when you press the A button at a certin point, and what the stylish moves do is heal your star power........
After that abomination we all know as sticker star I didn't even bother getting color splash since it looked almost the same, but maybe slightly better. I had to comeback to thousand year door for the 30th playthrough since it's one of the best games ever made
Color splash is a great game honestly, bowser talks in it unlike sticker star, and he has his TTYD battle pose, kinda. I'd probably list it as my third favorite, [spm being last]

To be fair, they did fix some things (Bowser talks, and the areas are less generic), but the rest of the game retains the nightmarish flaws of Sticker Star. Sorry for the long comment, but it’s disheartening to see people praise Color Splash when they have no clue how awesome the previous installments were....
When I first played this and I had to fight Bowser right after, I was sad. Throughout the game, I started to like Bowser, but him taking advantage of the situation (as fitting as it is) made me hate him for it. (I also lost to him lmao)
I was excited when i finally beat Grodus but then Bowser comes in and the second fight. Obviously i failed and i kinda died on the inside, it's really hard to win with the remaining health
If you didn't use up too much star power on Grodus, you can use Sweet Feast on the first turn to regenerate like 20 hp and 20 fp, that gives you a chance to tank attacks for 2-3 turns and with stylish moves you can recharge 5 points to repeat again the process

@guy19910 Yea you dont need any items. I just had all those items for a safety net. Its not hard to get one mushroom and jelly tho. But 9 of each sort of is. But thanks for your tip, even tho it was already in the discription. The best way to make this fight way easier is try to have enough star points to level up after the grodus fight so you have full HP/ FP with the Bowser fight
I was looking forward to the remaster before my brother carelessly fried our switch! Now I have to get a new one (or the N.S.2) before the remake comes out, despite that I know most of the game and how it works!

Like the normal jump attack, hit A to attack, than when Marios at the highest point in his jump, hit A again. Than A once more to attack the enemy again...its hard to explan via text Lastly the counter attack, instead of hitting A do defend on an enemys attack, if you hit B with exellent timeing, you will take no damage and do one damage to the enemy! Help?
when you reach level 30 i think you get it, its based on levels ik. and the reason you get less star points is because of grinding on older chapter enemies, you have to go for stronger ones. best level up trick is with the amazee dazees in the twilight chapter.

I always hesitated to use Supernova since the first time I used it it crashed the game. I got good with Art Attack instead.
