One of the things I find amusing about doing this channel is just exploring some of the lesser known films of the past, and that definitely seems to be the case with the Hugh Beaumont Michael Shayne films of the 1940's. These are next to impossible to find online, and the copy I'm using for my review isn't the nicest, but I'll work with what I have. The film as of writing this script has literally has TWO reviews on the internet movie database and not a single review of Rotten Tomatoes, so this should be fun.
Larceny in Her Heart is the second of the Michael Shayne detective films featuring Hugh Beaumont as Michael Shayne', Brett Halliday's gumshoe detective, involving the death of a young woman that Shayne needs to piece together to figure out, while avoiding the meddlesome detective Rafferty who would like nothing more than to lock Shayne up. Cheryl Walker costars here. I'll summarize the film, spoiler free, then offer some closing thoughts.
