    Lyrics: Oblivion
Dark clouds and shadows have disappeared
A shining light draws away my fear
I wonder what the hell brought me here?
I hear the wind whispering to me
Sounds or voices that make me feel
Something so beautiful can't be real
    Can't be real
    Lost in oblivion
The more I stare into the light the less I see
With every step I take the less I hear you sing
It should be right, but if feels wrong
If this is paradise, then tell me where do I belong?
Where is the silence that used to hurt?
The chains that tied me down to the ground
Everything is quiet, but I'm diving inside a storm, I (pain that tied me...)
Fly like a bird, (...down to the ground) feel like a worm
    Oblivion
I'll leave a trail in case my memories slip away
If this is all a dream, then why can't I escape?
There's something in the air telling me I should stay
But why do I feel like I'm trapped inside a dark and silent maze?
Heart of glass, show me the way
Can you let the light in
Now that skies are turning grey?
Guide me home, leave the light on
Where is the silence that used to hurt?
The chains that tied me down to the ground
Everything is quiet, but I'm diving inside a storm, I (pain that tied me...)
Fly like a bird, (...down to the ground) feel like a worm
Pain that tied me down to the ground
I’m lost in my own mind
    Between these lines...
And words that I say to leave all behind (you’ll be okay)
I’ll be okay (you’ll be okay)
    I’ll be okay
    Run
    To
    Them
    Run to them
    Run to them
    To the end
    Run to them
    To leave it all behind
    (Run)
    Run to them
    Run to them
    (I’ll be okay)
    To the end
(Pain that tied me down to the ground)
    Run to them
    To leave it all behind

OK the song. The chapters all relate to each other, Prisoner: Chapter 2, is about suicide, or wanting too, after the events of Darkbeat: Chapter1. Between Prisoner: Chapter 2 and Oblivion : Chapter 3 the character, Jessie plays commits suicide, so Oblivion is about the things that she realises that she is missing, like walking along a beach with sand between your toes, the wind on your skin and in your hair, the beauty that is all around her. Then it goes on to all the friends she has left behind that she will miss, all the good times with them are now gone, and overall how she misses life and the good things and times, and now she wants to live. Then at the end, she fights and comes back, with a tear that she pulled though.
Jessie has never tried to commit suicide or wanted to, but she knows people that have,
Congratz on giving up the drink, I did it about 25-30 years ago. I also never looked at myself as an alcoholic, even if I had all the signs of one. The thing was I always knew I could stop when ever I wanted too, which I did with drugs and booze, tobacco well that's a different matter.
I would stop worrying about how you feel in the mornings, then one day you'll wake up and realise you fell fine, and have done for a while now. One of the reasons I stopped was, because I started to look at others around me that had been drinking, how annoying they became, how some of the greatest people you know, become arseholes that you never want to met again in your life after a few drinks, then they wake up the next day and tell you the great time they had, because they can handle their beer. Then I realised that arsehole, was me, before I stopped.
Now I tend not to like being around people that like to drink.
I can enjoy 1 or 2 drinks and stop, but that has to be around people I know and trust, and also are going to stop at 1 or 2 and not try and push me to do more. So it's more a social thing, than drinking for the sake of drinking. I also have a drink if I go and see a band, mainly it's at a small venue, to see an unknown band, to most people, yes it may cost that bit more, but it helps support a small venue, and there are too many going out of business at the moment.

I wouldn't say this song will stick with me BUT i like how the composition stays consistent. I mean vocally it contains as small amount of harsh vocals as possible. Cleans do more than enough.
As for the post reaction conversation i can feel that stuff very much. My father was having beer everyday until he improvised new years resolution, that he just quit. And he did that just at one day, but that decision hit him with cerebellar hemorrhage later on. Currently he's struggling with long term recovery, but putting personal efforts to get back as much of efficiency as possible. Tthe bright side is, he didn't end up paralised.

I wish him a speedy recovery. That is some serious stuff to get through.
