I'm almost licensed after passing my exams this year, but I agree with your advice for her. Sometimes its just worth taking the plunge and going into debt for something you know will pay off long term. People don't understand how hard the exam really is, and how much dedication and self sacrifice is required even if you're young and don't have a family. I do think that the CPA is equivalent to passing the bar or becoming an M.D
Absolutely love your energy and content, I’ve finally decided to atento the CPA, I am completing two classes required for the cert. I will start studying and test taking all 2025. Thank you for sharing, truly!
You know, this is probably the best video I have seen on your channel. You give a lot of info and personal life experience of your career. You keep things interesting and answer the questions with details. Good stuff, thanks for making this video!
I was happy to hear you didn't apologize. I was a bit shocked that they saw that negatively. Opportunities to me are something you make, but everyone is different. I do not know much about accounting but I do know that it sounds much like taxes so I must agree that you definitely want an energetic professor. I am on my way to be an EA but going through the class online was not ideal. I agree that she should really look into what she will need from the professor to stay focused. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you for watching and for your feedback, Sabrina! When there is more potential upside than downside applicable to a particular decison, that's a bet I take pretty much every time. Good luck on your EA exams!
Do you discourage/encourage anyone from studying Accounting and then doing the CPA at the age of 55? I have both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, have been working in Mental Health but I cannot do this anymore. Your youtube inspires me, and I have always liked Accounting that has structure and coherence. I don't intend to etire until I am 70. Thank you for sharing your video :-)
Hello Alex,, Tnk u very much for sharing your thoughts, & I been calling u for pass few days for possible working together. Unfortunately, I have not received call from u yet❗ Which, I need CPA work well as financial planning work as well. Best regards ~
Since im just starting school, what associates degree do you recommend that start out with and complete. One that would assist me, benefically and lead to an eventual path to a Masters Degree in Accountacy - basically, CPA eligibility
Great video! Like you, I recently took a financial accounting class just for the hell of it. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed it, and I am now considering a career in accounting. The only problem is I am 32 years old, and I will be 35 by the time I graduate. Many have shared that older applicants aren’t usually successful in finding employment in accounting. In your experience, do you find this to be true? Thank you in advance!
Hello Eugene, thank you for your kind words and your questions! I answered your questions in a video which may be found here: ruclips.net/video/RuCfOh7vABs/видео.html I hope this helps! :D
So when did you get your EA and CFP? Do you do sales/fee only with that during the non tax seasons? Im a senior and was thinking about going the EA route then maybe masters in taxation. Too far in to quit, but I dont see myself fitting into a cpa firm. And I feel like the classes dont prepare us for jobs either. Im a career changer so I'm not coming fresh out of high school with that inexperience
Hi, I want to do CPA but I am also inclined towards financial planning industry. I was thinking more about CFP and a career in finance planning. As you have both CFP and CPA, what would you advise is it mandatory to have both designations or individually they both are a rewarding industry in the long run. I don't want to be an employee for all my life, want to setup business in planning or advisory industry. What would you recommend.

@@EfrosFinancial Thank you for the detailed response! You've officially inspired me to pursue a career in accounting. Thank you!

Is the CPA experience also used for the CFP? Or do I need additional experience
Do you recommend that I enroll in an online Masters in Taxation program without an Accounting background while pursuing the EA Credential

KPMG, makes a choice to interview you, then complains to the school about the choice they made. Could have just been adults and told you “no.”
I'll help you, don't do it choose a different field your not going to be happy.
Don't do it. Lol jk it's a pretty good gig.
