    I just love the heat n bond idea---especially for use instead of pins when stitching an applique in place.

    When felt is wet,I use a water color pencil, and the chalk or the heat erasable pen works usually well enough for me if it's gotta stay dry😊 also, Marie, those are super cute mixed media pieces ❤

    Needle punch wool felt - where does one purchase that?

    Just to put an irritating European spanner in the works, it is neither APP-lee-kay, nor app-LEEK, I'm afraid - though you are correct to notice the acute é which makes the 'ay' sound.
    The stress is on the second syllable - *ah-PLEEK-ay.*
    It's really hard to undo the pronunciations of a lifetime, isn't it?! 😆 I also think it's a tricky word to get right just on reading, without hearing it pronounced correctly first.
