First install Latest version of K-lite codec : - codecguide.com...
Download MKVToolNix :- mkvtoolnix.dow...
Note :- 1:- Its Not Working without k-lite codec so please first install this codec.
2:- Its working only On Windows OS.. (not sure on other OS).

i have been trying to put the covers to my videos but every time that i conect my hard drive to my tv the icons are not showing, what i can do to make it apear in to aother media players that are not the one that the computer?
No you cant see that cover/poster expct windows pc or media players in android like vlc n mx player..

Bro, I tried the same method to a mkv file but only the thumbnail is showing and not the cover slip. When I check it in MKVtoolnix GUI, it says cover slip is present. Any idea on this problem?

I've tried this and after waiting a couple of hours just on 1 file.. Nothing really happen just wast of time after I plugged in the usb to the media player.

MKVtoolnix GUI does not work on files larger than 2GBs, all of my MKVs are larger than 2GBs, especially bluray rips and HD. Any other program available to overcome this limitation?
Richard Ferrara you can add covers in mkv n mp4 files via metaX software.
Download your movie from Yify, all of those movies are lower than 2GB and are BluRay too
Richard Ferrara sir you can use 'MetaX' its paid software but its works great. support only MKV n MP4 files only... if you have mp4 files so you can also use 'mp3tag' software its free for tagging mp3 n audio files but it also support mp4 audio n video files as well..

Can't work, I cropped the picture to 452*628 video is MP4 format and turned off Win10 in the windows10 settings to close the image thumbnail cache

ja ja yes but you can't extract covers from mkv or MP4 files in MKVToolNix you have to install mp3tag software it's free it's a MP3 tagging tool so you can extract covers from mkv and MP4 on using this software...

Jitendra Kumar Mkv is just a container not format. Agar aap mkvtoolnix use krte ho to koi bhi format change nhi hota bas vo file mkv container ke andar chli jati hai matlab render/convert nhi hoti bs extention change hota hai...
