What about the longevity? Some people are putting their mouse in the fridge due to the heat expanding the plastic and optical switch failing, not sure how widespread this is though. Extremely concerning though, heat is unavoidable these days
Yes, i put my 2nd g502x wired in the fridge, just to get 2 hours of gameplay before it gives up again. Logitech is giving me a free upgrade and 2nd replacement to the X lightspeed. I have 2 options now : sell the lightspeed and get a new wireless mouse or wait and watch how the lightspeed performs.
@@BatmanNinja420 Thing is, if you are getting this on the wired version, getting the wireless one won’t save you from it because it affects all models from what I’ve seen. Would be best to look for another brand, try to downgrade to 502 hero lightspeed or wait until the next set of 502 come out. Just unfortunate.
@@BatmanNinja420 if you can find a 16k dpi G502 it will last you a lifetime - is what all my friends tell me. You see, there’s the old model of it with a braided cable and the newer revision with 25 or 26k dpi (I forget) that changes the cable to rubber and SUPPOSEDLY also cheaped out on internal components so it goes bad quite fast. So if you can find the old one its actually the best best option
Wow really?!? The fridge?! 😅I never had any issues with the mouse heating up. Maybe some models have a defect. I never had any problems myself and I've been using it for months now both for editing videos, gaming and other mundane tasks😁🤷♂
I also have mouse with RGB light but 5% brigthness is enough for me, there's no need to crank it up to 100% So my question is, how's the battery life performing if you put RGB light at 5-10%? Is it still going to be 37 hours for the G502 plus?
Hi! You’ll certainly get a better battery life. I don’t know how much that would be exactly but you’d be consuming less energy. I have a question for you too: Isn’t 5% too dim? 😄 can you see colors during the day?
@@kidfromsky If I'd put it somewhere near my desk lamp then it is in fact dim.. but other than that it gets the job done. I think reaching the 20-30% mark starts to take the 1-2 hours of my approx time (it's 58 hours in general for my mouse) Also, thank you for your answer! :p
@@D4YVEN Yes I can see how 20-30% might be enough :) Also of course! I love to use the comment section to make my channel a platform for dialogue. I answer to all comments. Glad you commented friend 😁
I have a logitech MX master 3s at work and I decided to get the g502x for my personal computer. the quality of the two mice are not even comparable! the MX master is 10x better in terms of quality than the g502x and its even cheaper by 20-40 bucks. the thing that I love about the MX master 3 is the smart switch where it switches from the infinite scroll when its scrolled fast and back to pricision scroll when it slows down. the infinite scroll on the g502x on the other hand feels like its unusable. you have to click the weirdly placed button on top of the mouse to switch between the infinite/pricision and its not practical at all and I never use it. also the side scroll on the MX master 3s screams quality but no such thing on the G502x. TLDR I think the MX master 3s is better than G502x for people with big hands.
Thank you for sharing your opinion! MX master 3 is a mouse made for professional settings whereas the G502X is a gamer mouse. I find that the button switch between the scrolling options on the G502X to be rather good. I never had an issue with it. I personally like the aesthetic of the G502X better. It’s closer to what I like as the MX master 3 looks too much like an office gadget for me. I like my gadgets at home to feel a bit different than my office 😅 in that sense your setting seems ideal to me. These are both great mouses. It comes down to personal preferences 😁 though I have to say, I do have rather large hands and you’ll never have an issue with the G502X either. I appreciate the elaborate comment💪🏻😎
I thought the G502 has a side scroll option by tilting the scroll wheel left or right. It's not got the separate scroller, but it's also a gaming mouse, and I personally don't know if I'd ever want that on the side for that purpose. That said I'm also a web developer and the dedicated scroll wheel for horizontal scroller for that sort of thing I would imagine to provide more precision and control and I'd see myself liking that better for that application. Totally different mice in my opinion but if you were trying to have 1 mouse for both applications I do see where you're coming from 100% in trying to compare the two. I'm probably going for the X Plus myself because the side scrolling on it should be "good enough" and I'm honestly just glad I have it so seems like a good balance for me but if I was a designer it'd be a no brainer to go with the MX Master I think with how much time you spend in Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

G502 X Plus can be charged with powerplay pad?

but how? there is a plug instead of a battery. I inserted a battery from g502 lightspeed and only then did it work@@kidfromsky
