Good luck getting PCGS and NGC to hold to these grading standards. An F12 to them is about a VG8 to me. But it wasn't always like that. Surprisingly, ANACS seems to do a better job in the low circulated grades (but not so well in Uncirculated grades).

Grading coins are not worth grading if you want to sell, unless they are rare coins and are worth big money at face - value. I have spent hundreds of dollars to get coins graded and only had 1 coin out of about 10 to be graded at MS level.

Your dime in this condition doesn't have numismatic value more than the apron $2 worth of silver content. If you want to keep it, put it in a coin flip (with no PVC).

I have a liberty dime with an extra stamp on it. What's the value if you know. It's a 42, the extra stamp is a 6 or 9 behind the head. Very curious!

engravers initials. Check to see that your 42 is not the 1942/1 overdate-which is worth quite a bit.

These channels never answer questions or tell you what something is worth. At least need to know where you find out what your coins are worth.
