    I’d love to see your self tan routine! How often you apply, how you take care of it, etc.

    Sarah, Sarah. you did it again. Thank you for teaching us about skin care. I am clueless. You are a fabulous teacher! Only you could make sense of the stuff out there. Its so overwhelming! I have been following you for years. I have learned so much. I just want to thank you. You have never steered me wrong. You color matched me years ago, I watched all your videos to know how to use the makeup, now I learn how to take care of my skin. Can't wait to learn more.

    This is hands down the most informative video I’ve seen on skin care regimes! I use several serums and acids and you just confirmed that I’m applying acids when I shouldn’t. I also love Dr. Denese’s firming facial pads and have used them for years. Cleansing balms are heaven in a jar! IT Be Bye Makeup has been my holy grail, but I recently tried Susan Yara’s Naturium Ginseng Cleansing Balm and I love it. Then I follow up with La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. I agree with you Sarah. I love removing my makeup and the way my skin feels after applying serums, etc. I can’t stop touching it!

    You should try City beauty lid lifting cream for hooded eyes, it’s amazing, I even did before and after pics of my eyes and it works if you use it twice daily. It seems expensive but they have sales and that little tube lasts me 7 months. Try it you will love it.

    Alrighty, I started using the SEINT milk wash and cream on my birthday, May 13th. I’m enjoying it 😃 I started a retinol from Oil of Olay and have transition to an oil from Neutrogena starting in April and building up to every day at night now. My friend recommended that and then I heard it from you to and was like, yes! I’m doing that! 😃 and upon your recommend I’m using a vitamin C in the morning by TruSkin. The color seems good. I’m hoping it’s good. I’ve been using it since the end of April. Have you heard of that brand? Is it good?
    Anyhow, thanks for your tips. I use to not even wash my face except in the shower with Aveeno. So, this has been a fun and maintainable regimen for now. Thank you for encouraging simplicity and consistency and then also explaining how you can go on from there😃 It’s fun!
    Boy, this is a long comment 🤷‍♀️😉

    Love this! It is my second time watching this video. Took notes the second time around! This is a nit-picky question, but do you use the same micro-fiber cloth from the balm or do you get another clean cloth to cleanse with?

    Definitely vitamin C serum, glycolic acid moisturizer, night cream, cleanser, retinoin serum. I’m 65 and wish I had started a skin care regimen at 13

    Hi Sarah! I love your videos so much and always learn a ton from you!!! I don't trust everyone but with your chemistry background I know you do your research! Just curious...have you ever tried Beautycounter products and if so what did you think? I used everything Beautycounter for awhile but now switching to mostly Revision and Maelove Vitamin C.

    How can I print or screenshot the graphics you sometimes share? Like the one at the end of this video? I also like your eyeshadow graphic. They always scroll too fast to screenshot and don’t always show the whole graphic.

    I recently purchased the Dr. Denese pads and I use tretinoin (not on the same day). What would be the next thing I need to work into my schedule? I have melasma. My skin type is dry to normal.

    Yikes, your suggestion nfor the retinoids are expensive, like $115 on amazon! I would love for you to recommend a cheaper retinol. I have to pick and choose where to spend the money and figure there has to be cheaper retinol.

    Always informative videos, Sarah! I have a question about the Jill. Do you prep your face before you shave? I tried their wipes with their starter kit but did not like how oily they made my skin. I was curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks!!

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  2 года назад

      I used an oil even before the wipes were released! I would say an oil is definitely necessary but I do recommend a gentle cleanser after shaving to remove the oil if you don't like how it feels!

    What was the tiny bottle (serum) that you said was a multi-tasker? I don't see it on your product list. It was a teeny tiny clear bottle with white dropper top...

    I love your videos! I started a regimen after watching you and I have been breaking out. Is that normal?

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  2 года назад

      You might be going through a purging process. Talk to your dermatologist if you can! It can be normal, but you could also be overdoing it and damaging your skin barrier. Start out slow and gentle and consistent! Don't start too many new products at once.

    • @traceychappelear4920
      @traceychappelear4920 2 года назад

      Same exact thing happened to me! I started using Cure and some of the Revision products like the brightening face wash everyone raves about and started breaking out like crazy! I think I definitely damaged my skin barrier!!! Finally after lots of moisturizing and slowly adding them back one at a time I am seeing improvement.

    Is it ok to use hyaluronic acid on top of vitamin c/retinoids?

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  2 года назад +1

      Yep absolutely! Hyaluronic isn't an exfoliating acid, its a hydrator. Just be sure to lock it in with something like a moisturizer!
