Yeah, they are underrated by a lot of people. There are also fish crows on the eastern side of West Virginia that are slightly smaller with a nasal call. I'll try to get a clip of that lol.
Yeah, they are amazing 😂. Their social intelligence puts them in another league. Today I filmed two ravens soaring like hawks and showcasing their unique acrobatics. I'll post it soon.
Have a family of 7 crows that I've been feeding every day for a couple of years now along with a normal variety of smaller wild birds that are native to Virginia. It started off with the aptly named Curly Bill getting curious and coming to check us out every day from the power line. He and momma have since had a couple of new babies who are hilarious in the way that they play and divebomb each other in the air. Hearing the young crows practice their caws from the trees when their voices were developing was one of the funniest, sweetest things I've ever heard. They sounded like little kazoos there for a while. Looking forward to warmer weather but at least in the winter the crows are really easy to see in the trees, heh!
Woah, your love of crows is contagious haha. Do any fish crows show up with the american crows? The young american crows throw a monkey wrench into the separation of the two during the breeding season lol
American Crows are very beautiful. The crows here in Norway are also very beautiful. Have saved around 50 Crows the past 15 years and have one living with me, she refuse to move outdoor. I feed my outdoor crows every day, they are smart and i love them very much ❤ Every morning they are outside my home and they get very good food, think i have spoiled them since bread is not good enough anymore 😂
Haha, that's amazing. They are very smart birds. My brother recently went on a trip to Germany and Switzerland and saw a Hooded Crow and thought it interesting that there are crows in Europe that aren't all black since the crows in America are all black. The uniformity of our Corvus species is kinda compensated for by the jay department haha.

It's cool how they always choose high ground. I always look for the highest branch on a tree and sure enough a crow is there watching
Wow, a big RUclipsr commented on my channel lol. But yeah, they let other birds know that they are the top dog 😂
Get to know a crow. They’re fantastically entertaining birds!
