German Sausages, are the Best Sausages, in the World 🌎 for real, my Brothers and Sisters 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
I only spent a short amount of time in the Schwartzwald, so am unfamiliar with dishes from other parts of Germany. Thank you for the culinary tour!💖
Nothing get my heart beating more than sausage discussions.
😉
Oh how I miss the German butcher shoppes in the Detroit area. I have lived in Tennessee for many years are we have no wonderful sausages and breads to choose from. I grew up going to the shops with my father and fascinated by the hanging sausages.
I bet you did. German kids get always a slice of a sausage when visiting a butcher shop. Max loves it 🤩
I am very hungry now! Thank you, for sharing!
Thanks Jerry for watching!
Thank you very much everything looked delicious 😋 and interesting
Thanks ☺️
totla gorgeous editing~ guy~))
in 1986 I was in West Berlin and made two day trips to the DDR. I had lunch in a restaurant near Alexanderplatz. on day 2 I was served the DDR version of Jägerschnitzel. I never knew what it was until another youtuber did a story on DDR food. I have made it a few times and now its one of my wife's favourite quick dinners. I highly recommend it. if you can't find Jägerschnitzel Doctor Sausage ( Doktorskaya Kolbasa) seems to work well. it really is quite wonderful! and a total surprise to find after 35 years
Hahahaha! How lovely! And thanks for recommending the sausage you use:)
So many sausage dishes. So little time. I miss the currywurst in Wiesbaden… I miss Wiesbaden.
It is a lovely city :) not that far away from Frankfurt.
Yes, spent a lot of time in Frankfurt as well. Used to go to this disco near the hauptbonhof called Gallerie back in the early 2000s. Back then I lived across the river from Wiesbaden in Mainz Laubenheim.
Great recipes again Marta., I really liked the potato soup, that would go so good on a cold day like today in Pennsylvania. Das ist schmetkt gut!
Oh yes!
I love my sausage with kraut or red cabbage and hot mustard.
whaoo. yammy 🤗🤗🤗♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏
So yummy! My Gernan mom and I can't wait to fly to Germany in May/June. We will spend several days again in Frankfurt and will check out Sachsenhausen on one day. Any recommendations on that side of the river?
great
I absolutely appreciate this video, thanks for showing the people something different. German cuisine offers more if people like to take a bit of extra time.
The Wurstgulasch was one of favourite dishes in school.
Thanks Robert for watching. I thought it would be a fun way to do something like that;)
Marta: as usual, a wonderful post and I can’t wait to serve some of these recipes to my family. Thank you for posting!
Thanks Rob ☺️
I love the DDR recipies. Overall, a massive yum. Here in the UK, we have nothing to compare to a decent wurst. Thank you as ever for your awesome videos 🙂 x
Thank Wilf. But you have other foods that you can be proud of. Like cheddar 🤩 in September I went for a wedding to London and the couple has chosen really nice British Food for this occasion. I will never forget this chicken and leek pie I had. And sticky toffee pudding 🤩
@@cooking-the-world Ah, I agree, our cheeses are some of the best in the world. Such variety. Next time your in the UK, do seek out a Newmarket Sausage, outstanding. Powters are the best variety IMHO. 🙂 Thanks as ever for your brilliant videos.
JFI, your DDR Jägerschnitzel, we called a Junggeselle Schnitzel (cheaper than pork cutlet).
Hi Marta,
Are you familiar with a simple comfort food dish with sauerkraut? Either called Krautnipf of krautknepff? Not sure which is correct. Maybe you can confirm.
Flour, water to make dough. Slice dough into pieces and boil in salted water.
When dough pieces float in water remove them.
Then add dough pieces to frypan with lard; butter or oil and sauerkraut and sausage or bacon.
Marta my Grandfather put ketchup on everything! He loved tomatoes and anything made from them
It’s interesting what people can make when ingredients aren’t plentiful or available
That’s right 😅
I like the goulash idea and others served with tomoto sauce.I know sausage on a pizza is a nice change, so should go well with tomatoe sauce .Your potato soup looks really good !
Oh i also like sausages on pizza 🤩 although I don’t know if I would choose a German sausage. My husband wouldn’t let me 🤪
ok .it must be weird weekend food , i made boiled hamburgers , they where great , very moist , cheers Marta
Thanks Larry. Boiled Hamburgers seems a but weird 😅
I bought Zungenwurst what can I do with it (blood and toung sausage)
Evening Marta, for once I'm still awake. LOL at the Fart Musik. Some interesting ideas I want to try there. We had little access to DR Recipes in my day because of the wall but I like the sound of them, I can't get flieschwurst only bockwurst would that do? Or Polish Kielbasa. Currywurst of course was invented in Hamburg when British soldiers gave a Bratwurst seller some Indian Curry powder 😀 which the British brought back from the Raj
I would go for Bockwurst in this case;) yes, because of the British we also have ketchup 😉 and everything else we have from the Holy Roman Empire. Apart from potatoes of course 😛
The 'print the recipe' link for Soljanka on you site seems to be broken, it just gives a screen of gibberish.
Thanks I will look into it!
Soup, is my favorite with it getting cold. To be honest, not fond of curry sauce over sausage. Didn't like the taste, sausage with mustard and bread yummm
Hahahaha! I see what you are coming from. My husband also hates it that way, therefore I always go alone to eat curry wurst. Or with a tour of course. But they usually finish the whole thing without me 😛
No onions or peppers please
