I highly suggest “love kills” series by Brianna Jean there is a lot of found family in it and it deals with more raw subjects but it’s soooooo good and underrated! Like the friend group in that series is everything! The romance so emotional. Definitely check it out! It’s 3 books about one couple and then the friends are supposed to get their books in the future.
a tip for your future gingerbread-housing endeavors 🙃: if you're not gonna eat your gingerbread house, hot glue the sides together -- it's what i always do! then your house won't fall apart while you're decorating
