Jumeriah Beach is a white sand beach that is located and named after the Jumeirah district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the coast of the Persian Gulf.
It stretches along the coast south of the city's historic district to the junction with The Palm Jumeirah and terminates between the southern end of the Jumeirah Beach Residence (adjacent to the Dubai Marina district) and the port facilities at Jebel Ali.
Running about 15 miles (25 kilometers) along Dubai’s Persian Gulf coast, Jumeirah Beach is a go-to for sun and surf lovers.
Named after Dubai’s nearby residential Jumeirah district, the beach extends from Jumeirah Mosque in the north to Palm Jumeirah in the south, and includes of a string of private sections and public beaches.
The Jumeirah Public Beach, lovingly called Nessnass Beach by locals, has become a popular hotspot thanks to its welcoming waters and clean stretch of sand.
Jumeirah Beach District is home to some of the world-renowned attractions, the significant being Burj Al Arab - the only seven-star hotel that is touted as the 8th Wonder of the World, Grand Jumeirah Mosque, which is not only famed for its distinctive architecture style but also for its Sheik Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding that allows you to take a peep into Emirati as well as religious culture, and the Palm Jumeirah -the palm-shaped, man-made island that houses a myriad of luxury apartments, villas, and hotels such as the Palm Atlantis.
Equally astounding is a variety of opulent resorts, hotels, and spa boutiques that grace the locality.
The beach area abounds in parks as well as specialized play areas to keep your little ones busy throughout the day. Few to name are Jumeirah Beach Park that serves as a perfect venue for a family picnic, Jumeirah Open Beach Park offering exclusive children’s play area, Wild Wadi Water Park with a plethora of exhilarating slides and rides suitable for every age, and Umm Suqueim Park whose specialty is games and leisure facilities that comply with European standards.
The Beach JBR probably the most famous beach in Dubai. Often the first port of call for beach volley players and sunbathers, The Beach JBR offers white sand and turquoise blue waters.
But there is more to love about The Beach JBR than the sand and swimming. Head to “The Walk”, the leisurely promenade along the waterfront. Here international restaurants, fashion boutiques and luxury hotels (Sofitel, Sheraton, Hilton, Ritz Carlton…) have made The Beach JBR one of the city’s most popular spot.
In the side streets you will find plenty of cafés with terrace, refreshing juice bars, gelato kiosks, surf shops, the Market at the Beach (daily from 10 am to 12am) and even a Roxy Cinemas.
If arts is what you are after, then JBR Beach is the place to go. You will find every sort of summer bags and crafted beach towels.
