I picked up one from ebay. I wonder if you can answer some questions. First , I should say, I am a self diagnosed alternating esotrope with suppression for over 40 years. Patched 2x before age 4 . No surgeries. No amblyopia. I have experimented with brock string and some vision apps, read Dr. Barry's book, ect. So I picked up one of these to rotate around in practice Here is something interesting. I thought I could not do it at all so it sat since last year. But I tried going in reverse and have some success until card 4 where then it is hard to fuse. The instructions say number 12 is the goal but it is harder for me to fuse the closest spaced objects. The circles are not fully in focus but the image seems to be. Note: each eye the image is in focus but when combining the accommodation is harder the closer the images get. The other interesting thing is that I have tried without my glasses or contacts there is a little better alignment however the fun part was how the image would start to come into focus ,even without glasses or contacts. My right eye can do this better than the right eye but both can make the image clearer, sometimes, for a couple seconds sharp if I close my eye and then open it fast. I wonder if it is possible that one could learn to accommodate both eyes at the same time at the same rate. It seems they cant focus sharp at the same time. I just found it surprising when trying to do the rule without vision correction, the eye start to focus. I was always told the Bates method. ditch your glasses thing was a sham. But it seems something is going on. How did you get the cards?The cards that came with me are black and white and I like the look of the more modern ones. I think color could help as well and I wonder if those cards have more combined images to let you know you are fusing the two not partially suppressing .
i want to become a pilot i cud not clear medicals due to this and i dont want to go for surgery i have this apperture rule but im not able to merge the images into 1
