- WWW.ROSKINC.COM to purchase aux cable and coding cable.
filmed a video on how to code in AUX in the Idrive for the E60 5 series BMW (should apply to most BMW coding on other series). step by step on using NCS expert to add +NAUX to the VO vehicle order and mounting the AUX to the CCC (or m.ask) module. coding necessary for auxiliary cable to function.
Revtor's NCS Expert Profile is the profile i used to code the module. profile can be downloaded by searching Google.
BMW coding cable can be purchased on eBay, and usually comes with all the necessary programs to install on your computer.
please like the video if it was helpful to you and post suggestions for other videos you would like to see me do a DIY on. email me at roskincdavid@gmail.com for interest in a AUX cable for yourself.
some of the names i couldn't pronounce when changing jobs:
CODIERDATEN_LESEN (when reading the module)
SG_CODIEREN (when writting module)
when editing change:
AUX_CONFIG
not_mounted
to:
AUX_CONFIG
mounted Авто/Мото
I ordered your cable, installed it in the glove box no problem thanks to your other video showing the install. I'm using a newer version of ncsexpert, so it was slightly different. Like revtor's profile wasn't valid. so I used the factory settings profile for all my coding. It worked like a charm. Thanks for the great video!
dude .. thank you thank you .. i just installed everything and coded the aux in on my car ..
bought the aux cable from you .. (fast shipping, thanks again!)
so many options out there but i am glad i ran into your video and followed your instructions ..
shoutout from Miami !
I just want to thank you Dave for your help. Im from Aus and there is no other posts like this! I have an E60 530i and all your posts are very helpful. You are a clever guy. thanks Peter W
Bought the cable from roskinc here on youtube through ebay. And followed his video, and now I have it in my BMW 530i e60 2004-04. I am very happy with the cable, very good sound in Aux. Keep up the great work you perform, very well described
You made this video very clear with each step, which made me want to try myself on my E60 and it worked for my car and my brothers. Thanks for all your help and supplying me the cable, which also saved me a lot of money! Keep it up!
I have a 2005 E60 - I had to select the MASK module instead and followed same instructions and it worked 100% :) Thanks!
It works bro ! In my case it was enough just two first steps to unable AUX in my 520d e60 2006, was no need to edit text file at all. Thank you for your video, man ! Much appreciated it !!!
Thanks Buddy. Worked like a charm. AUX install and coding in 45 minutes. Note: some of the eBay AUX cables are pinned wrong. Thanks for the videos.
Dirk Darda how do you know if it is or not and how to change it?
glad i was able to help, and save you money! enjoy finally being able to listen to your music!!
very well explained , had mine in German the notepad log( living in Spain) . worked like a charm. thank you!
Yo!!! You have no idea how happy I am right now because of you I was able to get my aux working thank you so much!!!! Que dios te pague
Was your aux grayed out on your Idrive
Thank you ! I've done it ! And I now have an Aux in Options in I-drive MASK, it took about 4 days to connect my pc to a car with impa and ncs expert mainly because of different versions, but any way it all thanks to you.
Just did the install and coding today Thanks David!!
Great video , used your other video to install cable and this video to code , video for coding is a little outdated but still worked in the end . Took me 30 min from installing cable to listening to music through aux . Great videos , perfectly described .
If you could , I would appreciate if you made a video how to code the indicators to stay on whilst driving , thanks
Man dude is a beast.... helped me out and it works great... I have 2005 BMW 645ci... only regret is not going Bluetooth!!! Save your money and buy from Roskinc..... I got frustrated with the software and got a quote from the stealership at $163 and a local company at $115. Took me all of 15, 20 min with the help of Roskinc and a $25 cable off amazon!!! Thanks a lot man I really appreciate it... This is the VEGAS guy lmao!!!
David is a stand up
Guy! He did the Bluetooth and coding on my personal car. Flawless sound with zero problems. Someone you can trust 👌
Been wanting to do this for a few years. Finally got ncsexpert installed on W10. Worked through the driver install issues and code write failing on first time. Worked on the 2nd try. I finally have aux in my wagon and I'm super happy.
Hello, what is the name of program you used?
Thanks a lot for all your help. I ran into a lot of problems because my computer was updated by the dealer. I was finally able to code the aux for my 05 545i sports package. I also installed the sports button and boy, even though my ride was already a sports package, I now have a torque i didn't realize the car had before. Also cool to see the sports light. My next project is to code the following: Digital speedometer in cluster & close mirrors and windows via key FOB.
Thank you!!
absolutely brilliant mod , mate , took me a couple of goes to get it right but managed in the end ,, being a pure novice , thanks for your vid
very helpful video. definitely worked for me. however I came across loads of errors which I thought I couldn't solve but looking through the comments and googling definitely solved the errors I came across
Thanks, Great help. Just did this and followed ur instructions. The only difference was in in my .trc-file it didn’t say “auxconfig not_mounted”, but rather “auxin not_active”. I changed it to “active”, and saved it as per instructions. It worked fine. I now have installed an apple carplay unit to the aux in and it’s just perfect. Thanks a lot.
Dude! Thank you so much for this video! I now have Aux feature in my 2005 545i! You are da bomb! I messed up the very last coding part because I couldn't tell that when you save the .man file it needs to be asci encoded I couldn't tell from the video.
Worked perfectly even in 2022, thanks a lot!
Best DIY I've seen. Bought the aux cable from him. The hardware installation was a breeze thanks to your help. I did have to use one size higher when drilling the hole for the cable. The hard part was coding the car. If you have a 32 bit windows xp I'm sure it is easy but all I had to work with was 64 bit win 8. Getting the software to work was the hardest thing. Took me 2 days to finally have it up and running. But once I did it was a piece of cake. Unfortunately my cars' battery died due to the programming and as of right now I am unable to go and buy a aux cable to test it out. But super easy except for the coding, but once you have the software working it works, thanks for your help. Oh thanks to one of the comments down below. My cars code was in German and instead of "not_" it was "nicht_". My spelling might be off but yea. THANKS
Bryan R yes the hardest part is just getting the software setup after that easy!
+roskinc Software was a bitch and a half. What a relief when firing up and no errors.
+roskinc Any idea what cable to buy. I just looked ok eBay and there are loads. They all say about reading and deleting codes and extras bud none about coding in aux. There are so many different models as well. I have a 2003 e60 525. If u can help would be great.
Excellent video - works exactly as described. Just be sure to have a 3.x version of NCS Expert and the Revtor profile. Great work.
Thanks you very much for your videos. I was able to add Aux plug and it works great !
Is your AUX as loud as your CD?
Brilliant tutorial sorted my car and saved myself £500
great video I added the AUX on my E60 2006 530xi working perfect..had a little problem with ediebas but I corrected and I am enjoying my music from my cell now
You're a good guy. Thanks for this helpful video
thanks! glad i was able to help! enjoy the cable!
Found the issue....to many beers while trying to install. All loaded up and works great ! Thanks!
Worked perfectly, thank you very much. My only change was to use the NCSDummy profile instead of expert but all steps were the same
Yo you are the Man!!!! instructions sound and look very easy . I'm not Jamaican but that reggae sound good.
finally got it to work. thanks for the video and email responses!!
You sick guy!!!
I'm loving it.
I had issues with coapi-2020 and coapi-1043 but still worked even though it said failed
you are genius bro..gonna order the ux cable this week...thanks
Thank you so much! I tried to program using another channel video and with no result. Then I found your FAQ and now everything works great! Like, subscibe
Followed step by step and it worked on 2006 M5
great view :) looking forward to the other videos :)
Perfect instructions. Thanks for great video
Thanks for this video i have coded my car and it worked.:)
Wow! Completely different in coding coding compared to VWAG cars.
But very interesting!! Nice
Just got this to work on my mask unit 👍👍👍🖖
thanks for the tips on the windows 7 setup, lots of people ask about it and i haven't been able to help since i use windows xp on that computer. like you said your MASK for non navigation was AUXIN, keep in mind not all MASK modules will say AUXIN but AUX_CONFIG, very rarely do i see AUXIN, but like rubenve79 said, simple change to AKTIV. thanks again glad the video helped.
ROSKINC, just want to say I received the cable very quickly, thanks for the quick shipment...and a VERY BIGH THANK YOU for answering all of my emails prior to purchase. Also, even though I had a newer version of the software, your video walked me through the steps without any problems...thanks dude you are the man!! Highly recommend his product and video. Thanks, Michael Molina (Japan)
nice video, i like it.
can you make another tutorial video which shows how to code the combox/bluetooth ? (when you change it and have "mulf box" before) E90/E91
Great video . Thanks for all the help this is .
done, skiped step one and works for me, thanks
Brilliant worked after a few glitches in NCS
I just saw a post. It definately works on a 2004 E60, 530i. There is a bit of a process configuring the port but once done, the post/video is very accurate. Hope that helps. Peter
Hi Peter I have a 530d 2005, I installed oem AUX and coded it in but no sound yet.
Would you tell me how to configure the port as it seems to be the problem
Thanks
Thanx a lot! I couldn't find the Revtor profile , but I used NCS Dummy Profile (made by Revtor) insted.
I figured it out.
Thanks for the cable.
Great Vid! Thank you!
greetz from Germany , codierdaten lesen means ,, Read Code Files,, helpfull video, Stay cool
no problem. many people have successfully coded and installed aux, following the exact steps in my videos, you should have no problems.
HI, Great cable and Great video, fitted and all working, once I installed the software on my XP machine. Did not work on VISTA or WIN 7 . Got AUX INPUT on my idrive as shown. Finally don't have to keep CD in the car. Thanks for all the info along the way.

I LOVE YOU MAN
I love u man !!!!!!!!!
@roskinc my main goal is to play media via my phone to my car. This installation is one good solution to that problem. I do have a question though, my car does have a factory bluetooth, but only for calls, is there a way to code the bluetooth so that it can be used to play media as well?
Hey buddy first of all thank you so much for your help and I have a question can I install this NTX Export to the MacBook?
do you have a video tutorial on how to install NCS expert on your computer?
im having problems with the drive for the cable.
Hi David, awesome tutorial, can you tell me where to buy the cable and software and please teach me how to activate my acoustic notification for alarm. thank you so much.
Thank you for the video, can you please send a link for the NCS expert program ??
Hey man great vid. Is there a site where u can get other coding additions such as folding mirrors etc
Thank you so much for all your wealth of info, I have question, If I have am fm WC Sat, can I still add the aux or I need to delete one of the listed above, like disable Weather Channel, How do I this ? and
can my Aux Be Bluwtooth instead. thank.
Hello can you tell me what is your settings in EPERTMODE when you go to Edit Profile because i have Revtor's NCS Expert Profile but i don't have EPERTMODE.
Thank you
Bought your cable, had a lot of trouble getting the code part of it working, had numerous errors with my ncsexpert software like profilversion 2.0 inguilt and had also problems with pressing F6 which then pop up an error screen basically saying u need to update sp.daten tried updating it didnt get it to work....but then after creating a win XP virtual machine on my windows 10 OS and adding in all the required frameworks ..... i got it to work thank god, i then followed these steps and i successfully coded in an AUX option into my BMW WOHOOOOO. if anyone needs help send us a message.
Hi, could you advise me on same issue but under Windows Vista. I have the same error with NCS Expert showing 'profilversion 2.0 inguilt'. What should I do or change? Thanks
you rock, thank you so much!
hey man can you help me set up the aux on my e60 550i I am having some difficulties figuring out the profiles
I have an 08 R56. If i send you the CAS and switch can you make a remote work? The valet key opens the doors so we are good on that.
I want to purchase a BMW diagnostic cable with its software and I was wondering if this cable will include the NCS Expert profile. Is there a universal cable for coding and diagnostic work on BMW models and year?
Help!!
Thanks
Merci ça a marché pour moi
Thank you thank you thank you ;)
Hey. I just bought an e64 630i 2005 convertible. The idrive only shows three options like in the video, FM, AM, CD. Is it possible to add Bluetooth to the menu with a bluetooth module from BMW (I'm a noob and don't know if one exists to purchase separately) like it would've come had the previous owner specified bluetooth as an option?
Thank you so much, I did it :) (BMW 1 SERIES E87 120I)
Daniel Bodycot i dont’t find e87
@@majidarmand4678 hello bud, it's certainly there as I did mine. Let me try and remember how I did this and I will help you out :)
Daniel Bodycot thank you very much brother. This is my e-mail: tachalait@gmail.com
Yeah from the Control Panel. Go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> Device Manager (in the left pane). Make sure to hook up the cable to see the COM1 port (it's actually a virtual port).
I know i need to have an ASK UNIT and AT TUNER if i have an early E66. But because the ASK Unit looks the same and from what i have read it is the same, i should just be able to upgrade the ASK unit and AT Tuner to a newer firmware release with SP-Daten 53.3 or newer? Would this work instead of buying a newer ASK Unit and AT Tuner you think?
That is a great video very informative.... question my 2008 528 dose not have navigation do you know away to get Navigation or any suggestions?
Hey :D does this also work for e90 Buisness Radio ? I already have an Aux input and it worked... but someone must have changed the Battery and now the Aux funktion is gone !
You Da Man.
Great video! quick question I have aux now and I can access it in idrive with the idrive wheel but it is not selectable from the steering wheel buttons. When using the steering wheel button it skips aux and goes from CD back around to FM. (FM, AM, CD, AUX).
nice! Im struggling with my 2004 e60 coding.. it has a digital tv that comes on when the idrive dial is held down for a few seconfd.. but I get no audio.. and there is no TV option in the entertainment menu.. trying to find the code to make that option active.. or perhaps it uses the aux (which is also not enabled)? any ideas? thanks :)
great video. Just wondering if there is a way to set the Aux volume independently to other sources? The aux is much quieter than other sources and it blows my ears each time I forget to switch source before lowering the volume..
hey can I use these same direction on my 06 650i bmw?
Hello man, good job, i was hear about OBD2 cable and some problems of 7 and 8 pin obd2 error, what cable obd2 you was use ? (sorry for my english)
