I'm only a few minutes in but I wanted to comment and say yes! I love the voiceovers because I like listening to them while I knit or clean house. And I also love the idea of secular home routines because I feel like I narrowly escaped the religious trad wife path. No shade to those who enjoy that lifestyle, but it brings up a lot of religious trauma for me. Thanks for making these types of videos. I really enjoy them 😊
I also feel like I built my entire life around not being a trad wife so much that I am now trying to gain some of those skills in my own way. But it’s weirdly scary for me in a way. Like I could sneeze and lose myself. lol
@@sarajanecase It can be a slippery slope. I had friends who went a little extreme and I almost followed until I realized their views didn't align with mine and I wasn't willing to compromise or alienate people I loved to follow them. Lucky for us, traditional skills don't have to exist along traditional values, if you catch my drift 😉 Stay true to yourself and you're sure to attract the type of people who's values mirror your own. At least, that's what I hope for.
I found your channel and subscribed a few months ago. I really appreciate all of the content you create, its wonderful and inspiring. "In pursuit of a life well lived" your channel absolutely reflects this statement. Channels like yours really align with my intention to mindfully curate my own life to reflect my values. interests and aspirations. Thank you for all you do and all you share. 💖
Gorgeous, cosy and inspirational video. What I love about this, is that as well as it being about not spending so much, it’s also about committing time to spending preparing nourishing things for yourself. We skip this so much. I certainly do. Always seeking the quickest , most “stress free” alternatives. But in reality, the rush is what makes us feel stressed. I want to slow down. Your videos help me with that intentionality ! Thanks for sharing Sarajane! I’m really hoping you decide to do vlogmas…..even if they’re short videos!
Thank you! Definitely trying to find a creative way to do it that isn't as time consuming. Maybe shorter vlog or vlogging every other day or something like that!
YES to making your own veggie broth. One of those things you don’t know is easy until you see someone else do it! Also, love the journey of finding what feels good to the season you’re in while also staying away from the “religious trad wife” - if anyone can do it, it’s a 7. ❤ and the rest of us will follow in your footsteps and keep connected to ourselves and our bodies as we approach a slower life
Absolutely agree about it being so hard to find cosy homestead vibes vloggers that aren't religious. Love your cosy and non-religious vids! They align much more with my views ❤
I consider myself spiritual (not necessarily religious) but I love your video style and want to find more accounts to follow as well! 😁 yes to voiceovers! Yes to causal blog style! 😍 I love it
so thankful i finally found a non religious person who makes “home making” content i so love ❤️ religion is rad however i just don’t want it pushed on me lol thank you for the fabulous content! Your home is so warm and cozy
Instant follow after you mentioned how rooted religion and traditional gender roles are engrained in this type of content. You are so right and it’s nice to see someone I more align with 💗
