I really like this library. It's versatile and functionnal. I've played with it for a few weeks now and it saved me a huge amount of time creating my cues. Also I've had no issues mixing it with my other libraries such as 8Dio's or VSL's. I find it blends really well.
i bought it for the arp stuff and it doesn't disappoint, very playable; but I see what you mean about the good quality percussion. The harp is lovely, as long as you go into the settings and bring the attack to zero (and lose the reverb); they have it set to around 1ms by default and much is lost.
For such a small sample pool it´s really very very good. Sounds better than some 20-30+ GB libraries. The engine is the great thing here (but hits hard on my cpu).
But i really like The Orchestra. Very inspiring tool!
I agree. I bought it from a guy on VI Control for 125$. Def worth that. It has some issues, like noise in high strings. And what's up with no expression mapping? Really odd. The dynamics doesn't go quiet enough, so it's really annoying. Sure can use volume instead, but can't link dynamics with volume on the mod wheel, then it goes really loud. So doable, but not while playing.
Oh well. Overall a great library. High point for me is the brass staccato/marcato. Great for those heroic epic brass lines, it has a lot of bite in the sound on the low notes. Female choir is also beautiful.
If buying full price I would still probably go with Nucleus over this though (if you value high quality samples more) unless you really want the engine. And that's very possible, it's no joke. Very cool tool.
And then you will actually have a tool that's usable still when you one day replace all the sections with a dedicated library for each section. (just makes sure to get complete or 2 to unlock midi export)
So actuallly maybe not. There's also reasons to go with the orchestra instead for sure.
The ARPs and automated envelopes are a useful shortcut but I agree that the sounds don’t seem to blend easily with other plugins. They have a harsh mid range that is difficult to suppress even with a fair amount of additional EQ applied.
I find some of the instrument sounds a bit grainy but still, a very usable tool and great value for the money. I like to write Gothic Rock in a Nightwish style so fits in perfect for that along with metal sounds.
Is there anyway to use your own samples with arp script? There's some Spitfire and 8dio stuff that would sound wild with that setup driving them ...
Adam Smith Not with this product specifically, but Kontakt has an onboard arp engine under the hood, and most DAWS do too. Some MIDI keyboards also can output arp data automatically. But with all these options, you'll have to do the setup yourself.
so... as of today with the updates in the orchestra complete - midi export - worth the $400 now?
I haven't tried the new update. Certainly great news that they keep updating it!
Hello .. can you please help me?

@@ReubenCornell thank you very much
Considering things you mentioned I find the library now, with tiny bit more flaws then expected. Having that said, I'm considering in investing on a Orchestra library. My mind is on two at the moment. This library and Berlin Orchestra Inspire. Where is the win more then the lose?
with default settings the orchestra beats BOI definitely.
I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one with the exact same 2 libraries in mind. I think it's going to be Sonuscore ;-)
Depends on the goal. Inspire series are more geared at traditional sounding orchestras, The orchestra more to the epic kind. (and is geared at presequence motives, via it's engine)
I will send you towards OT inspire. It is beautiful and the new Sine player is awesome
@@JashandeepReehalMusic Thanks I have this one but it's ok useful but ok. I bought the OT Woodwinds and expansions they're a must have. I also have Metrópolis ark 1&2 I highly suggest it.
its kinda cheating with these pre-prgrammed section, its not comparable with my moral. But anyways its sounds great
It does have single instruments, and a lot of them mind me. So it's perfectly usable without the pre-programmed
@@emanu1674 Also, it's just the presets that are pre programmed. You can program your own presets :)
