  • You guys asked for it! So we're going to show you how to make Whipped Coffee Greek Style!
    Like the Korean Dalgona Coffee, Frappe is a whipped coffee that you make with instant coffee. However, it's almost put together the opposite way. You whip the coffee right in your cup then pour in the water/milk combination after.
    This drink is an essential for lounging on the deck or patio. With the summer around the corner and the patio being the closest we'll get to a beach, grab yourself a Greek Frappe and go chill out!

    Tip: If you don't have a milkshake machine,just use a regular shaker!
    Add to the shaker instant coffee,sugar (optional),water (not too much,just to cover the dry ingredients),and add one ice cube(it helps to make a good foam and to dissolve the ingredients).Shake well and serve it to a glass full of ice and add a little bit of water(if its summer and its hot outside don't add extra water,just wait a couple minutes and the ice will do the work,that makes the coffee stronger ).
    And last you can add some milk,i personally prefer condensed milk not sweetened,we call it evapore,it makes the whole difference,just a little bit!
    Greetings from Greece!

    We we were in Romania and Albania we first tried Cafe Freddo (a friend told us it's also Greek) and its just coffee and ice in a high speed blender and it comes out so fluffy and creamy that we could't believe it was dairy= free - also a must try if you ever see it!

    • @TiaandAndy
      @TiaandAndy  4 года назад

      That is VERY similar to frappe! the fluffy/creaminess is really to DIE for! In Cyprus, it's called Freddo Cappuccino.
      Maybe we should make a video about this! 🤔

      Thanks Looney Mooney Crew!
      Please try the coffee! This is something that we try to share with every one we know. The Frappe is surprisingly unknown in North America and every we've made it for has loved it!
      Please do give it a try. There's a Korean version called Dalgona Whipped coffee which is basically the same thing. Give that try too if you're feeling adventurous.
      We have a recipe for it too!

    We haven't tried the dalgona coffee yet, but now I'm thinking we should buy instant coffee to try your frappe too. It looks so good and glad to know you can skip the milk if you want to. :-)

    • @TiaandAndy
      @TiaandAndy  4 года назад

      Andy will recommend that you try it with milk. think of it as a dessert in a cup.
      be sure to top off with water as you go. there's tons of flavor in the foam so you will make one cup last a REALLLY long time

    • @pmparda
      @pmparda 4 года назад

    Does this work with espresso? Or is it something in the instant coffee that makes it work?

    • @TiaandAndy
      @TiaandAndy  3 года назад

      Espresso will foam up. However, to get the right taste, the instant coffee is the key!

    • @pmparda

      Actually yeah, we call it freddo espresso or freddo cappuccino 😉

    After 50's it just became another Greek national drink.
    》ATTENTION to non Greeks: Since frappè isn't filtered (at anyhow) it's like eating those 2 spoons of coffee so don't drink too many of these per day

    • @TiaandAndy
      @TiaandAndy  4 года назад +1

      Yes, thats a great point about not drinking too many, it's a lot stronger than just a regular hot brewed coffee :) Thanks for sharing!
