Tony Khan is the guy who booked Darby Allin to get a clean W over Brian Cage less than 3 weeks after Cage debuts. No one is a convincing tough guy in AEW. Dudes like Jacob Fatu, Bron Breakker etc... you can TELL that you don't want to mess with either one of them.
To be fair, Brian Cage already lost a "World title" to a regular sized woman. Brody King recently going the limit and losing to Darby was worse, since he's still got some credibility.
Moxley has been doing this Stone Cold Steve Austin act for 5 years and it's terrible. Tony Khan doesn't know how to book a gimmick like this, I mean they had doing the 'walking through the crowd' entrance during the PANDEMIC. Why have him walk through the crowd of an empty venue? Just insultingly bad booking.
in real life, Shelton Benjamin would turn Moxley into dust. Which means one thing: Moxley is going to be booked to go over Benjamin before the end of the year.
Being honest Shelton would only maybe loose to maybe a handful of people in AEW in any type of real fight, but Tony Khan is only concern with pushing his type of guys (which are smaller guys to begin with). Shelton being well paid, so at this point in his career it would not surprise me that he see his AEW run as a retirement fund.

They have not seen or participated in any real fights. They think life and romance and fighting is the stuff from The Sims and Dragon Ball Z. By the way, their emotional vacuum explains why they don’t really care when the toys get broken.
Tony Khan needs to fire Jon Moxley. Right now. The longer Moxley stay in AEW, the worse it's going to be. Moxley, Jericho, The Young Bucks and Mercedes Mone all need to be gone from AEW in 2025.
One down, 189 to go. AEW's roster seems so bloated that most of those wrestlers on that roster aren't part of any creative plans. So, they're making money for doing nothing.
Personally I don't care if Mox competed in a real tournament and lost. I also don't care that Punk was a terrible UFC fighter. Wrestling is a TV show. Vince got rid of kayfabe a very long time ago.
