why I can't make the sunlight work inside the sphere.
Because the sphere is casting shadows. In the object properties under visibility and then ray visibility, you can deselect shadow

So there is no hdri.
Well, I think the background image is 16bit, so technically it’s a high dynamic range image (HDRI)
