Excellent Video Series of your ICW Trip NY to FL. All episodes were great, well done, thanks for making them available. Note: You happened to video me aboard my boat s/v "Wonder" Hunter36' in ep5 at 4:34 to 4:39 / 16:14. We passed each other in opposite directions when you were leaving the Point Pleasant Canal heading South, I was solo entering that Canal heading north at Bay Head, NJ (destination Sandy Hook Bay then NY Harbor). What an excellent day.
Just found the channel and subbed love the content brother. I’m from Jersey cool to see you swing threw point. we had 4 feet of water in our house from sandy lost everything. Jersey strong brother god bless an safe sailing
Hi Tommy This is Paul & Joelle formally of Staten Island. Great video hope you have a safe and fun trip and all the best of luck and happiness in Florida. I’ll look forward to seeing more videos of your trip… By the way the boat looks great! 👍
Great video Capt. Very informative and the boat did great for you guys. Looks like you and your brothers are having a great time! That trip up and down the ICW is on my bucket list. Still looking for that right boat though. Looking forward to your next video. Safe travels.
Great videos. Im enjoying this part because i have family in new york abd they have a holiday house in Atlantic City, so listening to you is alonst like being there 😂
I’m a little late to your series but love it! I rent and live in the little Shantys right below the red arrow @11:22. They started out as 200 year old boat houses for racing moths that have been in their family and converted into tiny rentals over the water. When boat go buy the whole building rocks to the waves. I keep my 69’ 13 foot whaler out back on the dock. It’s a wild area with million dollar views for sure.
I have another video that shows a different view at the 9:35 mark on this video:ruclips.net/video/1EN0_RzEzlk/видео.htmlsi=PVQqCYdkBd1yaPnZ. Are these the houses you speak of!
Wow ! Hey fantastic footage. I've lived in Southern California all my 56 years and i have never been up that way thank you for allowing me to live vicariously and saving me a "Whole lota Money" 😊 Excellent Optics from the water surface. Views of the city, of the rural terrain and all of the other views, and sharing the steps you took in the planning and adjustments of the trip. absolutely appreciate it. Made me feel as if I was on the boat itself and yes good exercise moves advice from your wife, especially the air punches or was she really punching out Nants? 😊 I can understand the apprehension bout being on the open waters. It gets pretty rough just going from Newport Beach to Catalina. Thanks again
We moved our 2005 Silverton 34c from Barnegat Inlet to the Outer Banks last month. Got a chuckle from your comments about the 2 to 3 footers off the Jersey Shore and Little Egg Inlet. That's beautiful conditions compared to many other days out there. We ran outside from Barnegat Inlet to Virginia Beach. Then we doubled back through the entrance to the Chesapeake and ran the Virginia Cut the rest of the trip to Manteo.
My old stomping grounds! I grew up on Barnegat Bay in the 70’s. The PP canal was crazy when not slack tide. The problem is the water level of the Manasquan river is higher than Barnegat Bay. There’s no lock, just that canal.
My dad had his pilot’s license…he was learning to fly jets at the end…boar fuel is expensive…Jet A is really expensive…they get you in the shorts when they have you stuck like that…
funny. this came across my feed and i didn't look at details. I'd be heading from MA to Cape Coral. Not close to the size boat you have. But it would be more of a stop until the conditions aren't insane and staying locally.
New subscriber from the UK. I love these videos. I have no boating experience but just love boats and the sea. I am fascinated by the experience you must have gained on your travels. I have a question. If in certain situations you need to keep the green buoy on the left, at 2:13 shouldn't the boat coming towards you have been on the other side of the buoy or am I misunderstanding the principle?
The red right return rule can get flipped around when you are on the intracoastal waterway. When traversing the ICW, the reds are on the mainland side in Florida.
$100k bonuses? Man i want a boat but it seems so hard to get money like that. What buisness are we talking about? Your boat is beautiful and you're living my dream.
You don’t need crazy money for a boat. Buy what you can afford. Every boat has its benefits and brings adventure and enjoyment. Smaller used boats are reasonable. If you are mechanical and handy, you save yourself thousands in maintenance.
Its a real pleasure to take in your excellent adventure. Every aspect of the voyage is totally enjoyable. Much thanks.

Just went back and rewatched it. Nice boat! Safe travels and glad I caught you on video!

Sorry to hear that. Sandy got us bad in Staten Island too. Hope all is back to normal for you.
great video, you are making the trip look fun. Safe travels on your way down the ICW

Thanks guys! I didn’t know you left SI until I was there a couple weeks ago. If your ever in Cape Coral area, come visit!
Been thru that Point Pleasant Canal many times, can get rough when tge current is ripping. Have fun👍

You picked a good time to come through the canal... It gets nuts.
The worst lock was Myaka. It was so slow!
Lmao my dad almost died in the Point Pleasant canal when he was a teenager.
Omg that’s horrible! Hope he was ok.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs He was alright, thanks. The Point Pleasant coast guard station had to pull them out.

There is a great RUclips channel called Shore Boats that video the canal and inlet conditions and the crazy boaters!
My man, you shoot craps as well! Did you hit the 5? Brotherly love as well. Good episode.
We enjoy craps. My dad loves it and it’s great when we are all at a table. Doesn’t matter if we win but makes it more fun! Lol
Long Beach Island was my summer beach growing up in the 90’s! Good times!
You got lucky in pt. Its usually a washing machine
Enjoyed the video. Very interesting trip through part of the NJ waterway. Such a shame not all of it is dredged.
You get mixed messages on the various navigation apps. I know boats that made it through but just not worth the risk of damage.
Another great video!!! 🙂👍
Loved your brothers Shirt at around 13:50 The thin Blue line! I am the thin Red Line but so support my Blue Brothers !

@@AdventuresofHappyOurs Thanks for the explanation. Love the channel.
Blessed to be able to do a trip like that!!
This video has more views than the population of the entire town of Manasquan
Barnegat bay gets really shallow in spots
Why would you rent a room for the night and not just stay on the boat ?
After a night at the casino, no one wants to Uber back to boat. Lol
Where in staten island did u go to high school?
St Joseph by the sea
westpac? You guys in the financial business?
Westpac Pollock - Our dad’s company back in the 80’s before being bought out.

are you a retired mos?
No sir. Retired telephone guy. Verizon.
I am enjoying the series, but man, I hate seeing all these tacky alternative flags these days. Just a pet peeve.
Your lack of bridge opening information is very annoying. Its like you edit out any pictures of transiting open bridges, why.
I didn’t have to open many bridges. Driving though bridges is not easy to do holding a camera, so I didn’t film them all.
Ruud as hell when stealing electricity
Wtf
Your make a big shame for all other real captains out there
I fixed their outlet for free and told them I was coming.
