G'day mate, yeah it was good to have a day like that. Makes you sharpen up a bit. In the next video I went back there about 6 weeks later and had a ball, landed some beaut fish. I've almost stepped on a deer up there and that pig was probably closer to 200lb when i thought back on the size of it running away. I'm just glad it went in the other direction. Salut l'ami la saison de pêche commence aujourd'hui mais malheureusement je ne peux plus pêcher car je me bat contre un cancer du cerveau depuis 4ans. Je devais partir en NZ et tout est tombé à l'eau alors vos vidéos me font un bien fou .Merci les blacks de la pêche.

Hi Bob, that's the beauty of going on an adventure and not just going fishing. If I go out with a fishing mindset there's an expectation I'll catch fish, which as you saw doesn't always go according to plan. Then you can fall into the 'Bad days fishing' or 'Got skunked' trap. However, if I go out to have an adventure I'm seldom disappointed and if I catch a trout it's an even better experience. SPOILER ALERT, I went back to the same spot about 6 weeks later and caught all three. That's in the next video. Thanks for stopping by mate. Regards, Colby.
Really cool video. I started getting into fishing this year and am wanting to try fly fishing. I googled Black Creek and the only one that came up on Google Maps was in Wainuiomata, which is where I live. :) Is that the same one you're at?
G'day Spiro, Black Creek is the name I tell people where I fish. A lot of guys know where I actually go but we keep the real names out of the mix so the places don't get hammered. There's some great fishing over your way. Have a look at the walking access nz website to suss out where the private and public river access is. Tight lines. Regards, Colby.
