    Doing a 9”89 after that incredible amount of nervous energy lost, it’s outstanding. Of course you can clearly see why he was the fastest ever in the 60 m. He was already ahead, then even meters from others after the start.

    I was a fan of Greene. I liked the attitude before a race and when interviewed, it showed a class athlete

    It took over 10 minutes to run a race in under 10 seconds !!! Can you imagine if this race was run in 2014.... there would only be 2 runners left !!!! The rest disqualified

      Totally. I remember when they brought it in I thought ‘it’ll never work’. I was completely wrong - the amount of gamesmanship it just wiped out overnight was great. Now I watch these races and think ‘how did they get away with this for so long?!’

      The new rule is even worse. They should have figured out something else. You cannot lose years of preparation because of 1 false start.

    • @giovannitocco
      @giovannitocco 9 месяцев назад +1

      In this situation there is no false start in the first 2 attempts, the starter is simply saying “Al Tempo” which means “Stand Up please” and is not related to any false starts but because of noise from public. The you have 2 false starts, and finally they got going, it’s part of the sport

      I think that's protecting a potential injury or was perhaps, strained. No way that was typical and consistent. Sidenote, this race shared 4 training mates with the now defunct, HSI stable. Mo Greene, Ato Boldon, Bernard Williams, Jon Drummond. Jon Drummond and Ato were also tremendous starters back in the day, especially Drummond!!
