    Just to offer some context, using the future tense for guesses makes sense because we’re saying that we don’t know the information right now, so we’re guessing what that information will turn out to be once we finally receive it.

    "Sono comparsi" is a phrase I see a lot in documents. Or "Sono comparso". Was wondering why the same word is used for "They appeared" and "He appeared". Thanks for making that clear as well as so many other things about Essere. A little bit of pride admittedly to see "Sindaco" after a surname which is one of our family names in Pertusio in the late 1700s/early 1800s -- Falletti ;-)

    • @whychromosomesmusic5766
      @whychromosomesmusic5766 4 года назад

      I'm sorry. I made a mistake in the above. It is "Sono comparsi Falletti Mateo, di anni quarantadue fu Giuseppe, contadino e Vallero Bernardo, di anni cinquantaquattro fu Firmino, calzolaio" BUT it is merely "Comparso Terrando Giuseppe di anni venticinque di vivente Felice, contadino" Of course there is no "Sono" before just the one person appearing before the registrar.
      Sorry about that.

    • @italymadeeasy
      @italymadeeasy  4 года назад +2

      They all mean "some"... but be careful because some of them requires the plural form while other the singular form.😊 For example:
      I have some biscuits >>
      -Ho qualche biscotto
      -Ho alcuni biscotti
      -Ho dei biscotti

    Scusami Manu. Il tuo video e molto bello! Sono confusa un po perche qualche volta quando traduci varie frasi in inglese, il significato sembra leggermente diverso. Per essempio: "Mio figlio dice che da grande sara' pompiere." La tua traduzione inglese e' "My son says he will be a fireman when he grows up." My english translation would have been "My son says he will be a great fireman." So, we do not use the verb "crescere?" Grazie!
