I know this is an old video, but out of curiosity; can the PG Unicorn not stand flat on the base with the stand in Unicorn mode? I see in the video that it has no solid footing until it's transformed and that worries me, as I bought it today and only plan to display it in Unicorn mode. TL;DR: Does the base collapse lower for when you're in Unicorn, or do you have to just have the waist dangling above ground like that?

This isn't like someone taking a bunch of random Lego pieces to make their own custom creation, this is something Bandai had designed and all everyone else has to do is put it together. If you build your own Ford Pinto using nothing but original Ford Pinto parts, it's still gonna be a Ford Pinto
Otaking Mikohani yeah but there's always user error. Plus, the company even says on the back on the box that the model is not made to be transformed like a toy, it's merely there for a gimmick and to be used in various poses.

Yes, it's an expensive toy that's meant more for being put on a shelf than in a toy chest, but at the end of the day, it's still a child's play-thing. They could've just had two separate Gunpla kits for each form, like they did with Shining Gundam and God Gundam, if they couldn't find a way to make this transformation more intuitive.
PGs in general have tighter joints because they have to support more weight. Out of the grades you've mentioned, I'd say they're the most similar to MGs. Even though they have a bunch of gimmicks, they're nowhere near as fragile as an RG thanks to their size.
Bandai vs Bootleg really isn't a question. 3rd party kits on the other hand can be cool, but no matter how good they are, their quality is never quite as good as contemporary Bandai kits. So always go Bandai, unless there is no Bandai alternative.(like the Deep Striker)
I'm the only who think they need change the UC 100+ history after what they did in Unicorn ? not "ALL" like crossbone, but what happened in Unicorn realy was a big thing telling about laplace and show unicorn in perfect newtype form ( what was a bit different final from the novel ), it should have big change after it. I don't think it shoul stay the same like the history after char's counterrattack in 80's and 90's. they need to change, the revelation with psycho frame was damint BIG
+Joeie Rivera idk but in my opinion about pg gundam is there are too many tiny parts, many plates and also quite difficult to assemble ...urmm that's why i think it would be better if start from bottom such as HG or RG ... just in my opinion and sorry for my bad english T^T
Khairul Imran Dude. If you're a beginner, no RGs, no MGs, and most of all, no PGs. Focus on lower grades, like SDs and HGs because most likely, you will be able to mess up your build and if you mess up your build, you will just waste a nice Gunpla. So start with beginner's Gunpla first.
To me the transformation of the Pg is still damn easier than the MG which i really really frustrated when transforming it, so i always leave it alone in Des mode lol

I like the unchained shoulders, but I hve never been super sold on the opening up legs, kind of like Shining Gundam has.
