Hitting the home run is the difficult part about baseball. Staying on the crease is difficult in cricket.

It's a game played with two sticks: a large one called a danda, which is used to hit a smaller one, the gilli.

There are no cooler people on the planet than Indians - the guys are smart and laid back,the women are smart,playful,and absolutely gorgeous. And,to top it off,I don't think I've ever seen newcomers do so well at hitting a baseball. They could be the next superstars of the sport. Do it India!

In the MLB a home run is (depending on the field) at least 250 feet lol I don't think they grasp how large a baseball field really is. But they were all pretty good! I'd love to see them play on a real field playing a few innings to get a feel for how the game is played.

The way they were hitting the ball was just like how you hit it in Cricket. It's really similar, the only difference being that the ball doesn't bounce. Cricket is tougher, especially to play with all the equipment on.

Facing a pitcher who doesn't appear to be pitching from a mound and doesn't seem to be pitching very fast, and with no fielders, baselines, etc, is not really trying baseball. In Cricket the offense is expected to score multiple runs for every batter, while in baseball the majority of at-bats will not result in runs, or even hits.

Oh, well that settles it.. Look, I am not busting cricket, I think the world is big enough for both... Personally, I prefer baseball, but its no skin off my nose if others prefer cricket. What I do think is that no one can really get a feel for the sport without playing with people who actually understand it, and preferably someone who can actually play the game.

India have a baseball team, almost 25 states in India is having a baseball and softball team as well, i myself is a baseball catcher represented university and national tournaments as well. check this years women's world cup baseball team list you can find India also. baseball is no more strange in India

Guys, saying "full toss is easiest ball in cricket" is like me saying "cricket is easier than baseball because you guys use a wider bat." The sports are so different even though some of the skills are comparable. One major league fastball thrown by a low level player would have caused the girls to run away, and maybe the guys too. No one would have made any contact. Cricket is a game where the batsman has an advantage. In baseball the pitcher has such an advantage that it used to be somewhat common for him not to allow a single run in a game.

As someone who’s played baseball all there life and now play in college, it’s very dangerous to have someone play catcher without gear if someone is batting. It’s not the pitch you’re worried about, it’s a rip off the bat that will get you. You cannot react fast enough and I’ve seen it happen a couple of times where someone has tried to catch with no gear and they lost teeth or broke facial bones. At least put a mask on
