@Lulu Ma she is definitely nepo kid but definitely not a talentless..She wasn't good in her 1st movie but she improved a lot and with Highway, Udta Punjab, Love u Zindagi, Raazi she proved herself.. Everyone does..even middle class ppl do..What's wrong is if someone talentless is getting multiple comebacks..Hritik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor all had help in getting their 1st movie but no one can say that they aren't good in what they do
for the first time in years, we are seeing true folk dance talent in Hindi Cinema. Alia's ability to deliver Garba excellence in single shots is beyond commendable. This isn't just hip shakes and simple hand movements, it's an ancient high energy art for a non-typical beat. She has smashed it. Feeling proud to see Garba at this quality in Hindi cinema. Zero tacky stuff, simply folk-inspired class! Anyone who dances to Garba like this knows the level of energy you need for it!

@@kishorithakkarjivrani2367 I've been to Ahmedabad for Garba, whilst I had fun I noticed that the steps and styles were more about grace and twirlings hands. Many of the dancers weren't clapping or bending, the chamkara/spins were also in singles rather than doubles or quadruples. I also notice that sequences were longer...like 24 step...52 step but in each step there was less energy. Do share videos of higher energy you mean, I'd love to see. As a garba teacher, i love learning about other styles, especially if they are full of true folk energy! ❤️

Im not even gonna lie, Alia did an amazing job portraying Ganga/gangu/gangubai, You can truly capture her character maturing after experiencing such traumatizing events. The way she performs has an innocent feel to it- and I don’t mean it as in “Virgin, pure, “untouched”, etc…” feeling, it’s more of when she wasn’t a victim. I love this type of dance, but unfortunately I have no idea what they’re called. I am Mexican who loves bollywood and have been looking for the name of this particular cultural dance.

This dance is called garba. it is the traditional folk dance of the state of Gujarat in India. We gujaratis can play garba anywhere anytime, but we have a festival called 'Navratri' which is usually celebrated in September or October and then we play garba straight for 9 days to celebrate the win of good or evil. The 10th day is called 'Dussehra' that marks the return of Lord Rama after killing Ravana in Lanka.

I love how you you can actually see the difference in ganga's and gangu's facial expressions. Ganga's face holds pure innocence whereas gangu's face tells us that she's been through a lot. I mean ,people spread so much hatred about Alia Bhatt but atleast I think she was perfect to portray this character.
