What a very touching story. I thank God for your life that you eventually made it to Europe (i have also watched your video about your journey on sea finally to Italy. God was with you all along and your destiny was in Europe hence you made it there. I sympathise with all your struggles but I am very happy you made it. I hope many people especially the younger ones in Nigeria who still want to go to Europe by land and sea, will watch this video, and maybe make them have a second thought about travelling by desert and sea. Wow Una been through a lot. My 2 cents comment is there are offices called foreign EMBASSIES in Nigeria. Please go an apply for Legit visa. When application isn’t successful, go to your state or local government and hold leaders accountable. If they can not account for public funds, then use the courage that took Una to Mediterranean Sea and take power away from them. I thank Una!!

As a black British based in the UK its so painful AF to see our own black people packed in boats embarking on a extremely dangerous journey all because there are no jobs or decent opportunitys in Africa!!!!! The Nigerian government has to repair that country and provide jobs education and training for the youth!!! If not???? When will this end???? Wow 😳!!!!

In the 70s through 80s more than ten thousands companies were open but today only hundreds are in operation because of lack of power (electricity) government look the other side as if nothing is happening

Hi there!!! I hope this isn’t too intrusive or strange of a question. I’m an RN in the states that works with the Public Health Service and we have been seeing a large influx of African migrants lately here where I live so I have been consuming this kind of content to try and help myself and my colleagues understand the mentality of our patients that embark on these kinds of journeys. Even though it’s not exactly the same thing as most of our African migrants are coming from South America and have been there for differing periods of time.
May I ask what do you feel is going on in the kind of someone that embarks on such a deadly journey even with their children? Here in the US if they were citizens they would been imprisoned and their children would be removed from their home / care for neglect of a child.
Does anyone know how to swim? Do people often all speak the same languages? Is there fighting and bickering between you all? What would you say is the main goal / desire of those who are migrating? Is it expected that a rescue will come to meet you guys no matter what? And lastly, mentally, psychologically / spiritually…what would you say is the best way to begin healing and help these migrants assimilate or under how things actually work in the west in the sense that some of the migrants Im working with don’t seem to understand you cannot just set up a fruit market on a corner and sell things? There are rules and regulations so even though they do speak English, there is still a big language barrier and they often times think I am lying to them about how long the process of getting paperwork can take. How can I help them understand the realities of their situations here?
