    Really great video and really useful discussion about a way of thinking that can be applied to many things in life. I think being able to remove that emotional investment (to a degree) is really useful in improving, regardless of how much you want to win or get good at the game. Just try and be chill and take losses and wins with grace and practice with purpose and focus. If you're trying to improve than you're only trying to be better than your former self, not every random you end up match making with yaknow? Still sucks to get dunked on by someone with an anime pfp tho that'll never change.

    "We can do a lot better than the constant cycle of burning out completely, quitting for 6 months out of frustration, and coming back to do the same fuckin' thing." I went through this for 6 years with StarCraft 2, always 5-12 wins away from grandmaster (closest cs parallel would be faceit 9 or 10). This last year, I decided I wouldn't step back from frustration. I got hit with the frustration and stopped grinding games, and studied instead. My replays, of pros, pro vods. Took notes, back to it with only those in mind. About 4 months after I would've normally backed off - i got it.
    I've always studied my games, and better players. The only difference is the reason I was playing, and where the focus was. Having the goal of winning doesn't yield results. You win by being a better player, not by pouring more of your willpower and self worth into a given match.

    I’ve gone from 1 win off level 10 to almost level 8, all solo queue and a lot of teammates who tilt, toxic, tell the enemies where we are etc and a big one is no team play everyone just wants to get their avg kills up and play solo baiting and doing nothing to help win the round as a team, but apart from that what sucks the most is in game I’m just shit and idk what it is)
    Everything I do I get countered by accident (like when I hold an angle for 5-35 seconds and then I pull a nade out or check another angle and they peek it and I die
    Peekers advantage destroys me
    FPS drops destroy me
    But the worst thing is in warm up & dm im destroying people even though I spend most of the time not spraying and practicing my one taps so I don’t get into the habit to spray long range in a match and die, and then spend 10 mins or so spraying once I’ve got my aim sorted, and then I go into a game and get 8 kills its fuckin devastating 😂

I don’t know what is the reason behind this and how I can fix that issue. It seems like getting a new sensi help me focusing in it and accomodate with it so I focus more maybe.

    And yes, I checked the replays. It's insane how many cheaters there are in 13-20k, but that's a whole different topic.

    Im bleeding elo every game in both faceit and premier i drop 30-40 kills per game and still lose. its not a "skill issue" because my job in this 5v5 game is to play my role, if i successfully stopped almost every B rush before it could develop, or got 2 kills before I died if i couldn't stop the B rush, I did my job. if im sitting on B playing my role doing my job and then almost every single round i come to find that im in a 1v5 or 1v4 because my teammates lost their aim duels then i dont know man not much i can really do there. soloq is the problem. nobody takes this game seriously anymore and you can't even complain about that because it makes you look weird or something but its the truth lol this game thrives when everyones playing to win but when half of the people in the game dont care then its basically torture

    It's not about motivation, slumps or mindset. I've had losestreak of 7-8 games, where in 5 of them I was in top place of my team, and other 2-3 I was second in my team. And I am just losing because the game keep throwing me sandbags in my team. In last months of CSGO I was playing as Nova 1 agains GLOBALS, then lost to them and got deranked to silver. Yeah, of course my motivation and mindset is at fault, it as if with a good mindset I can find adequate teammates and enemies, not sandbags against global. Oh no, I can't because it's a random. It's unreal to rank up as solo player and that was proved by some youtubers. This game is basically sofisticated slot machine, you are constantly pulling the trigger and hope they you will get decent teammates and legit enemies.

    • @salmoncs6277
      @salmoncs6277  5 месяцев назад

      You should try finding a premade queue. The point of the video was to show you that there are more ways than one to approach the game. If solo queue is truly that insufferable (I agree btw it sucks) either change your mentality or just don’t play it because staying where you are currently nothing will change.

    • @salmoncs6277
      @salmoncs6277  5 месяцев назад

      TLDR yeah you have to kind of be insane to actually enjoy solo q and there’s nothing wrong with either playing with a premade or joining a team

    • @christian9208
      @christian9208 5 месяцев назад +1

      You can rank up with solo q but you need to get better.you said you was gold nova in csgo?well im pretty sure theres still a ton of room for improvement.You cant control your teammates but you can control your actions,so try to bait them if theyre really that useless for some important info or kills.you can also try using the “looking to play” thing to find teammates,but I noticed that in cs2 looking to play is filled with trash players,im talking from my experience

    • @salmoncs6277
      @salmoncs6277  5 месяцев назад

      @@christian9208 yeah facts, a lot of people focus too much on the results instead of just playing and improving at their own rate and it saps a lot of enjoyment out of the game

    • @Doodoofart725
      @Doodoofart725 5 месяцев назад +2

      Your comment just proves that it is about mindset lol. There are 4 randoms on your team, 5 on the enemy. If you are better than them you will rank up over time. You're making excuses because your goal is ranking up and you're not meeting it. When you change your mindset to one of seeking self improvement, you stop caring about wins and losses and ironically, that's when you start to climb again.

    But your loses DO build up over time whether its in the same game or taking l after l after l. If its in the same game your forced to eco and use shit thats hard to win with have no subtantial amount of money just scraping by the entire game or you cant even stay warmed up or get into a flow because you die first thing in the round and just start losing all your 1v1s then youre ultimatley just watching and never have the oppurtunity to perform with ideal equipment. Then on the ladder, why commit yourself to getting into that one game that makes you feel good when all its done to you recently is make you wanna rip your hair out. Shit that makes you accidentily break your headset just taking it off your so mad. Game after game after game you just sit at the bottom of the scoreboard and then what, your teammates instead of trying to help just talk mad shit on you more times than not. Counter strike needs to work on their community i think. Dont get me wrong ive been toxic too, most times i just stay quiet i dont have time to yap and read other people yapping idk man cs is great but it fucking sucks sometimes
