A little mistake in the Bees Knees description in the video, it says 22.5 ml of maraschino liquer instead of 30 ml of lemon juice. As always, thanks for your videos, a lot of time and effort are put in these and we appreciate it!
Great list! As a gin cocktail lover -- and a voter -- I've been looking forward to this video. And I'm pleased to see that all of my choices made the top 20!
I just wanted to tell you that you are my all-time favourite bartender! It allways makes my day better when I see your smile while shaking that shaker. Thank you very much! I wish you all the best and hope your recovery went well!
Bees Knees and Saturns are how I do Gin. I always have a bottle of Barr Hill around just to make these two bangers. I love all your work. Thank you for sharing your craft with the world.
I love this kind of video that is listing tons of quite simple but also popular cocktails. I can simply save it and come back to it later when I am feeling like drinking a gin cocktail. I love your application, but when looking at it, I never really know what "are worth" the cocktails before testing. Here, I feel like I am less likely to be disappointed. Pls, do a video like this for each spirit. 🤩
@StevetheBartender_ Comment section never fails to live up to the stereotype. Lol Far from a crime not too, but it's a helpful addition to the video. 🍻
Before I started watching this amazing channel, I always thought that being a bartender consisted of a basic knowledge of making and pouring basic drinks to thirsty customers. But after watching this incredible channel and the featured individual making these current and time honoured creations, it has become painfully obvious that there is FAR MORE to being a really amazing bar tender than just "pouring drinks" to thirsty customers. There is a literal science and chemistry involved in this incredible process to compliment the fine art of making really great cocktails as Steve does every time. The only difference is Steve makes what he does look easy.
I have recently tried Negroni with coffee infused Campari (coffee beans) amazing experience, I would recommend to try Steve. Amazing series, thanks! And cheers to all Negroni lovers
For the Aviation, I recommend trying it with all the ingredients shaken except the violet. Then after the shake, pour the violet into the shaker and gently stir. Color is significantly more purple and for some reason tastes better, purely in my head of course.
Bramble - I use a popular but also underused hack ... muddle fresh blackberries .. they grow nearly all summer in brambles bushes in the South East of England... so its a mini freebie!
As a voter, I was worried about voting for Last Word since it sometimes feel like a Chartreuse cocktail more than a gin cocktail, but it made number 4 so hell yeah!
great video, much love to the channel. I do want to point out the bees knees side note said there is marashino liquor, not sure if anyone pointed that out
Missed the „Winchester“ one of the best Gin Cocktails ever. And to be honest, I hate the Soda-Version of the Singapore sing. With Pineapple juice its one of my Favorites. Basil Smash and Saturn should ranked way higher. The Saturn Convinced all my guests so far
@@StevetheBartender_ youre right, the Winchester is not very popular so far. Lets see how it develops… meanwhile im close to say Gin is on Par with Rums for Tiki-Style Cocktails
@@StevetheBartender_ Hi, Steve 😁 I use 1oz old tom gin, 1oz curacao (Pierre Ferrand if I'm feeling decadent but Cointreau is ok), 1oz lemon juice, 3/4oz Tempus Fugit Kina L'Aero d'Or (I find 1oz overpowers the drink), and a couple of dashes of La Fee Parisienne absinthe. 👍
I’m glad to see the Last Word is up there. But that should probably be #1, IMHO. The Negroni is number 1… man, I wasn’t expecting the results of this to make me question my place in the world, but living in a world that thinks the Negroni is the best gin cocktail makes me feel quite out of place here on Earth. I’m so not a fan.
fuck me, while was reading the list caught myself on thought that not only I know all this names, but also remember all of the recipes.. and even was thinking of more like pendenis club bijou, hanky panky and pegu club . Think I got pretty deep into the bar 🫣🫣

Enzoni is just on another level. Made me enjoy Campari !
My wife gave me Steve's Cocktail book today as a birthday present 😊 Great book! Thanx Steve, for this great collection of cocktails.

Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad I can bring a smile to your day 😃

Congratulations on the cocktail book doing so well
Thank you! 🙏
@@StevetheBartender_ you're welcome 😊
Happy to see my favorite! The basil smash :D
Thank you for putting the specs in the description. I know it's more work, but it is much appreciated 👏🏻
No worries, I received abuse last time I didn’t.

What a compilation. Cheers for putting this together and sharing your recipes.
Are your gins distributed in the US?
All of them looks so awesome man! My absolute favorites is the negroni and the enzoni!!❤
Mine too!
I have recently tried Negroni with coffee infused Campari (coffee beans) amazing experience, I would recommend to try Steve. Amazing series, thanks! And cheers to all Negroni lovers
I’ve tried it before - tasty stuff! 👌
I have tried them all and can agree with the list. Great video
Cheers Stephane!
Thank you for the PDF! I have your book and it’s great.
Most welcome and glad to hear you like the book (please leave a review online, if you haven’t already) 🙏
Highly enjoyable video! Mixed up the Army Navy tonight for the first time.
Thank you Steve!
Welcome Kurt - how was the Army & Navy??
@@StevetheBartender_ I enjoyed it! Simple gin sour with a nutty twist.
Oh boy, twenty sips started stacking on Steve there!

Great idea! Anders did a good vid on shaking and stirring aviations. Although I love the violet liqueur so I up the volume. Comes out pretty bright!
An absolute belter of a video mate!!
Thank you sir!! 😅
@@StevetheBartender_ surprised myself , no southside made that list!
I was surprised too… it only missed out of the top 20 by a handful of votes.
Just ordered your book on Amazon here in the US. Looking forward to reading it! Have you ever tried grapefruit bitters in a gin and vermouth Martini?
You should do a video on barrel aged gin. There's a local oaked gin I've tried, it's whiskey like but with gin botanicals.
Could be a fun topic.
I like this idea 👍
Bramble - I use a popular but also underused hack ... muddle fresh blackberries .. they grow nearly all summer in brambles bushes in the South East of England... so its a mini freebie!
I replace simple syrup with elderflower liquor in my gimlet and tom collins.
Nice!
Same, but I take off 1/2 from the gin and replace that with the elderflower liquor, then add 1/2 3:1 honey syrup instead of simple - wife's favourite
That sounds delicious!
Hopefully I can get your Gin in Trinidad 🇹🇹 one day
Water Lilly > Aviation
Great list! Have made most of these and they are great!
I shall need to pick up some Lillet Blanc as that Negroni sounds great!
I dont care for any of the gins Ive tried, but a couple of these recipes looked good enough to maybe give it another chance.
If you aren’t outraging someone with your martini recipe, you aren’t doing it right 😂
I like cocktail very much.
Aye!
As a voter, I was worried about voting for Last Word since it sometimes feel like a Chartreuse cocktail more than a gin cocktail, but it made number 4 so hell yeah!
Ever tried making it without the gin? I accidentally did. It wasn't right by a long way...then I realised. Give it a crack you'll know what I mean.
That's what I mean, I'm pretty sure I've made every Last Word varation and I love them all.
@@SuperStarr817 Ah I see. The Last Word is my fav too. I had to have a break as it was expensive buying chartreuse!
Muito bom. Agora é praticar. Fazer todas as receitas e provar até última gota... kkkkkk
I am surprised about the Southside too... the mint in that drink compliments the sour style cocktail so well
It missed out only by a few votes to make it into the top 20.
Goodbye beer it’s cocktail season
So he wasn't joking when he said more bigger compilations are coming 😂
Loved the vid Steve 👍. Where can one get the Libre & Co products down under? I can't find any...at least not at a reasonable price.
Thanks Dan! Liber isn’t currently available in Australia unfortunstely..
What is the egg white replacement you’ve used for White Lady?
Bee's Knees AHEAD of Last Word and Martini?!? Hmm... Agree to disagree, but definetely a good list!
great video, much love to the channel. I do want to point out the bees knees side note said there is marashino liquor, not sure if anyone pointed that out
Yep, this was meant to fixed but I didn’t double check it 😅
Where is the glas from at the Basil Smash?
Try chocolate bitters in your Army and Navy.
That’s an interesting call… I will 👌
Enzoni > Negroni, who’s with me??
That's not a Tom Collins, that's a Tun Collins. (you have to be a wine otaku to get that pun)
I wish I liked a Negroni, tastes like hedges 😂
I won't ask how you know that.
Hedges? Lol
Blasphemy! 😂
A beautiful morning in Kansas. 4C, coffee and deciding which gin cocktail to make this afternoon. Great video Steve. Cheers.

The Winchester isn’t very well known (I think?) so I don’t think it would have scored many votes..

1 minute in and im already a little upset with one of my top 3 to be 20. Only kidding, promise. I know the rest will be of the utmost quality
Haha, blame the people! 😂😂
No way cr2 is not even in the top ten!
I agree!! 😅
My favourite! 😊
It’s not a “best” contest so much as name-recognition and familiarity…. Sadly.
I’m open to format suggestions to uncover the “best”…

In your recipe for the Basil Smash, you put the wrong measurement of simple syrup, you wrote it needs 22.5 Oz, which might be too sweet 😂
Lol, big drink too
How do you rate Smeatons gin?
